This year Realty Austin’s agents, staff, family, and friends came together to donate over $10,000  to the 2021 Foundation Communities Back to School Drive. These generous offerings accounted for over 14% of the funds raised for the Foundation Communities Back-to-School drive this year! 

The $70,000 raised during this year’s drive ensured that all 14 of Foundation Communities’ learning centers were able to purchase the supplies, books, and other educational materials needed to prepare for the new school year. 772 students received direct support for school supplies, technology, clothes, and uniforms, and 75 smart devices were purchased for both families and learning centers in the greater Austin area.

WHAT IS TOUCH-A-TRUCK?

Touch-A-Truck is a family-friendly event that provides an opportunity for kids of all ages to come to Camp Mabry and explore the vehicles they’ve seen in movies, books, and just driving around town. The large open field of Camp Mabry provides space not only for a variety of trucks, but you can also find live music, local food vendors, and even a petting zoo! Realty San Antonio agents and staff rolled up their sleeves at the Platinum Top 50 San Antonio Day of Service Event on Friday, March,19. The team joined over 100 colleagues in the real estate community at the San Antonio Food Bank which provides food assistance to over 120,000 individuals weekly.

The Realty San Antonio Team made a huge impact by sorting and packing items in the warehouse, assisting in the Urban Gardens, and helping out in the community kitchen.

More than 30 Realty Austin agents volunteered to repair Bertram’s home — including Albert Allen, who is not only a Realty Austin agent but also an Army veteran, Vice President of Rebuilding Together Austin, and Bertram’s nephew.

We are going virtual this year with the all-new Touch-A-Truck Virtual Ride Along series! Since the beginning of the pandemic, SAFE has seen an increased need for safe housing and is looking to the community to help uplift their programs. Many of SAFE’s clients move into the Shelter with nothing and need help to build a new home. Donations to cover the unforeseen costs on the campus due to COVID are needed most right now and Realty Austin is on a mission to help them buy necessary shelter supplies, cleaning products, and baby care products.
