Realty Austin continued its mission in support of affordable housing by dedicating the first Tiny Hemp Home at the Community First! Village, located at 9301 Hog Eye Rd Austin, TX, 78724. Realty Austin Raises the Wall on 9th Annual Habitat for Humanity Home Build

AUSTIN, TX — Austin’s top real estate brokerage, Realty Austin, has pledged to work hand in hand with Austin Habitat for Humanity for their 9th Annual Habitat for Humanity Home Build. In a partnership with its staff and agents, the company pledged to volunteer over 1,000 hours and donate $100,000 to sponsor a home for the Herrera Family.

Realty Austin is calling on the community to join their pledge in uplifting the Herrera family. Donations to the 9th Annual Realty Austin Habitat for Humanity Home Build will provide the supplies needed to build a safe place for Linda and her two granddaughters.

2020 Foundation Communities Back to School Drive

Realty Austin’s agents, staff, and community members came together to donate over $12,000 to the 2020 Foundation Communities Back to School Drive, surpassing their original donation goal of $10,000. These generous offerings accounted for 12% of the funds raised for the Foundation Communities Back-to-School drive, ensuring a successful 2020-2021 school year for the 1000+ children they serve in their after-school program.

Here is how the funds were put to work:

  • 340 families received $20,500 for back-to-school supplies and backpacks.
  • 250 families received $15,000 for back-to-school clothes and shoes.
  • 174 children received their own laptop, Chromebook, or tablet to access at-home learning.

Meet Women of Hope

Imagine a world where abused and neglected children and youth get the support, services, care, and love needed to recover and thrive in life. Like a guardian angel, the Women of Hope formed in 2011 and have raised more than $600,000 through annual membership dues, fundraisers, and other gifts to benefit the SAFE Children’s Shelter in Austin. SAFE  is a human service agency in Austin serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence.
