AUSTIN, TX — Austin’s top real estate brokerage, Realty Austin, has pledged to work hand in hand with Austin Habitat for Humanity for their 9th Annual Habitat for Humanity Home Build. In a partnership with its staff and agents, the company pledged to volunteer over 1,000 hours and donate $100,000 to sponsor a home for the Herrera Family.

Realty Austin is calling on the community to join their pledge in uplifting the Herrera family. Donations to the 9th Annual Realty Austin Habitat for Humanity Home Build will provide the supplies needed to build a safe place for Linda and her two granddaughters.

Since 2012, Realty Austin has partnered with Austin Habitat for Humanity to build homes for deserving families and committed more than $800,000 of their commissions to change lives. Phyllis Snodgrass, CEO of Austin Habitat for Humanity, said, “Realty Austin is committed to uplifting Austin and the people who live here. They are one of our most dedicated partners, and their culture of community and giving back inspires us. We thank Jonathan Boatwright and Yvette Flores and their team for supporting our mission of building strong, stable, and affordable communities alongside us!”

The new home soon to be built for the Herrera family will be located in East Austin, just west of Highway 183. Construction will begin in September and completed in November with a dedication celebration on December 4, 2020.
