Broadway in Austin: Annie

Pecan Street Festival

May 3 & 4

The Pecan Street Festival, a large and long-running arts and music festival in Central Texas, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a change of venue. The Spring 2025 festival, usually held on Austin's Sixth Street, will be at the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave on May 3-4. The festival will feature over 300 artisan booths, live music (including a tribute to Austin's Roky Erickson), and family-friendly activities.

The free, family-friendly CelebrASIA Austin 2025 festival will be held on Saturday, May 3, from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Asian American Resource Center. The festival, which celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, will feature cultural performances, hands-on activities, and food vendors. Attendees can also explore cultural experience rooms, enjoy live performances, and participate in community activities.

 

Cinco De Mayo Run: Against All Odds

Lace up to participate at the Cinco De Mayo Run on May 3, 2025, at Richard Moya Park in Austin! This fun-filled event offers 5K, 10K, half marathon, and 1-mile fun run options for all ages and abilities. The Front Market

The Front Market's Spring 2025 season will be held May 3-4 from 11 AM to 5 PM at Distribution Hall in East Austin. This free, family- and dog-friendly extravaganza features pop-up shops, rotating chef menus, DJ sets, and interactive art installations from over 150 women and LGBTQ+ creatives from across Texas.

 

2025 H-E-B Austin Sunshine Run

This pet-friendly event offers certified 5K and 10K courses along W Cesar Chavez Street, adjacent to the scenic Lady Bird Lake. Participants can choose from various race options, including the "Fastest Dog in Austin" 5K, a Kids K, and virtual 5K and 10K races for those unable to attend in person. The event kicks off at 7:55 AM and concludes with a lively celebration featuring food, drinks, and music. All proceeds support the Austin Sunshine Camps, providing free summer camp experiences to underinvested youth in Central Texas.

 

Austin Fashion Week

You might even catch a glimpse of some big names! Past festivals have hosted comedy stars like Paul F. Tompkins, Ego Nwodim, and Amber Ruffin, so grab your tickets and get ready for a side-splitting good time.

 

Austin Greek Festival

May 23 - 25

Head over to the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in West Austin for a taste of Greece. Stuff your face with gyros, spanakopita, and all the baklava you can handle, while a live band flown in straight from Greece serenades you. You can also check out traditional dance performances, take a tour of the church, and shop 'til you drop at the Greek marketplace. Admission is $5, but kids 10 and under, military personnel, and first responders get in for free. Don't forget to bring your appetite and your dancing shoes!

 

2025 CapTex Tri

May 26

Looking for a way to kick off summer with a splash? The Ascension Seton CapTex Triathlon is back! Athletes will swim in Lady Bird Lake, bike past the Texas Capitol, and run through Butler Park before ending at the finish line festival at Auditorium Shores. With Rookie, Sprint, Olympic, and relay divisions, there's a challenge for everyone. ATX Television Festival 2025
