Realty Austin Compass Broker Invitational Drives Donations for Foundation Communities
Representing 13 brokerages, 144 real estate professionals teed off to raise funds for Foundation Communities’ Learning Centers.

On June 18, 144 members from the real estate industry gathered at Avery Ranch Golf Club for the inaugural Realty Austin Compass Broker Invitational, a golf tournament dedicated to supporting Foundation Communities.
Representing 13 brokerages across the region, participants teed off, not just for friendly competition, but to make a lasting difference in the lives of local families. Across 18 holes, players connected with peers, engaged with sponsors, and enjoyed a day filled with purpose and collaboration. The tournament not only encouraged new relationships, but it also demonstrated how the local real estate industry can come together to help move Austin forward.
"It’s truly extraordinary to witness real estate professionals from a wide range of brokerages come together for a shared purpose. Events like this are a rare and powerful reminder that, beyond competition, we all share a commitment to building a stronger, more connected community. By setting aside our individual brands and working collectively to support Foundation Communities, we demonstrate the true heart of real estate: service, unity, and impact. I’m proud to be part of a company that values giving back just as much as closing deals." - Lyzet Pierce, Culture Program Manager at Realty Austin Compass
Because of the strong turnout and generosity from the sponsors, this year’s event helped cover classroom technology costs for nearly 400 students at Foundation Communities’ Learning Centers throughout Austin. These programs create a safe, supportive environment for kids to learn, build confidence, and feel seen. The impact of this support directly impacts the community and reflects a shared commitment to helping families thrive.

“We are so grateful to Realty Austin Compass for putting on the event for us and donating the proceeds to this cause, which is really important,” said Miller Wilbourn, Senior Manager of Corporate & Volunteer Engagement.
He explained that Foundation Communities has many students in their learning centers throughout Austin and North Texas who are looking forward to starting a great school year.
“They need school supplies, programming, technology, healthy snacks, and backpacks,” he said. “All the money raised today will go to this really important cause of getting our kids ready to start the school year off right, and we are so grateful to everyone who's involved.
In addition to the tournament, Foundation Communities is running its annual Back to School Drive from July 7 through August 1. The effort supports children across 16 Learning Centers in Austin and North Texas by helping purchase backpacks filled with school supplies and providing continued access to after-school programming. This year, the organization aims to raise $100,000 to meet the growing needs of the families they serve.
For more than a decade, Realty Austin Compass has proudly partnered with Foundation Communities, an Austin nonprofit organization, in their mission to provide affordable housing and essential services to the community. Foundation Communities’ approach goes beyond housing by providing residents access to financial coaching, ESL classes, free tax preparation, health and wellness education, and learning centers that support families across 31 properties in Central Texas.
This tournament was more than a day on the course. It was a reflection of Realty Austin Compass’s continued partnership with Foundation Communities and a shared belief in creating opportunity for others. By coming together in support of this work, meaningful steps were taken toward a stronger and more inclusive Austin, making moves that inspire both on and off the green.
Make Moves that Inspire
