Bananarchy

Bananarchy is currently closed for the winter season and will reopen their trailers March 2, 2020. If you still want their delicious desserts, they are still catering. Bananarchy is Austin’s only frozen banana stand! Their banana dessert flavors do not disappoint! Their most popular dessert items are The Afternoon Delight, The Cookie Crumble, The Milly Vanilly, The Joe Banana and The GOB. They strive to use bananas from socially responsible banana and chocolate companies to help stop the injustices related to the trade business. They also compost their banana peels and recycle them to help keep Austin environmentally friendly!

Bistro Vonish

After originally starting as monthly Supper Club, Bistro Vonish has moved into a trailer on 53rd Street that offers vegetarian and vegan menu items. Their inspired and elegant meals aim to please, nourish, and arouse your senses, memories, and emotions. They pride themselves on only serving the freshest local and organic ingredients and modify their menu seasonally! One day they plan to open a brick and mortar restaurant!

Bodhi Viet Veggie Cuisine

Peace begins on your plate. At Bodhi Viet Veggie Cuisine, their goal is to spread this message through tasty, homemade meat-free and meat-alternative Vietnamese cuisine. They are a group of local Buddhist nuns and volunteers who believe that wholesome vegan food is the key to a peaceful and healthy lifestyle. They seek to spread basic principles of wisdom and peace through fresh and affordable food.

Bouldin Creek Cafe

Bouldin Creek is an eclectic cafe that provides wholesome vegetarian food that is flavorful, satisfying and will not disappoint! They also have many vegan options as most of their menu can be made vegan. Their options range from salads to tacos to sandwiches, plus a gluten-free menu, coffees, and juices. Their baristas are well trained, and all their coffee is locally roasted and organic. This funky space, dog-friendly patio, and vegetarian food draw everyone from parents to hipsters.

Capital City Bakery

Casa de Luz

This hidden gem has a beautiful outdoor area with a secret garden feel. All their meals are organic and locally sourced. They also make sure to pre-soak their grains and beans before cooking so that their food tastes even fresher.

Citizen Eatery

Conscious Cravings offers both vegetarian and vegan fare and has two locations, in Mueller and the Trailer Park Eatery on South 1st Street. They offer simple, healthy food that’s great for a quick lunch if you’re out and about such as meatless wraps and salads with homemade sauces and dressings!

Counter Culture

Counter Culture is a popular spot in East Austin serving internationally inspired vegan comfort food which is made fresh daily. Catering to vegetarians, yet popular with omnivores, Counter Culture offers friendly, informal service in a lively mid-century atmosphere. Their sandwiches are always a go-to, and they offer their brunch menu Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm!

Flower Child

Flower Child promises to serve healthy food for a happy world. They work with ranchers who respect, protect and love their animals, all of their proteins are raised naturally, and their produce is organic. Their food is always cooked fresh, served quickly, and most of it is vegetarian and vegan! Flower Child now has two locations, downtown and at the Domain!

Li’l Nonna’s

At Li'l Nonna's, they're combining their skills and experience to create some of the best pizza in Austin using the best ingredients to make both square Sicilian and round hand-tossed pizzas. They're using organic flours, organic tomatoes, all-natural additive-free dairy cheeses, house-made vegan cheeses, house-made meat alternative toppings, house-made ranch dressing, plus local and organic produce for toppings and specialty pizzas! They'll also have a gluten-free crust option. They also have other delicious snacks like cornmeal-crusted oyster mushrooms, crispy Sicilian Brussels sprouts, and cinnamon and sugar fried dough!

Mr. Natural

Mr. Natural specializes in special dietary baking such as gluten free, soy free, nut free, sugar-free, dairy-free and more. They have tacos, sandwiches, and Tex-Mex and you can check their website for weekly lunch specials! Mr. Natural has been voted for Best Tres Leches and Healthiest Mexican Lunch Specials by the Austin Chronicle! The owner, Jesus Mendoza Jr, has attended classes taught by professional bakers such as Buddy Valastro (owner of Carlo’s Bakery); which means his bakery is one of the best in Austin!

Nissi Vegan Méxican Cuisine

Nissi Vegan Mexican Cuisine is the perfect place for mouthwatering Mexican food. They provide high-quality food made to perfection, and you should try their tacos for yourself. They are also all about soy proteins (carne asada, chicharron, fajita, etc.) used in various plates and dishes, such as tacos, nachos, and burritos. Ramen Tatsu-Ya

Ramen Tatsu-ya is the long-awaited collaboration between local chefs/DJs, Tatsu Aikawa, and Takuya Matsumoto. After returning from Los Angeles, Tatsu realized that there weren't many options for ramen in Austin and wanted to provide a ramen experience with quality and authenticity in Austin. Tatsu then partnered with Takuya and opened up Ramen Tatsu-ya, where they enjoy educating people on what ramen truly is by cooking up delicious ramen. It’s the soul food of Japan, and they want you to experience that. The process of broth-making can take an extremely long time in order to draw out the flavors from each ingredient!

Sassy's Vegetarian Soul Food

Sassy is cooking delicious vegetarian food using family recipes and knowledge from her mother, Queen Mum Viola Dawson! Her desire is to share what she has found in her vegetarian travels that’s soothed both her desire for tasteful meals and her desire to cut out meat from her diet!

Swad Indian Restaurant

Swad is one of Austin’s fundamental Indian and vegetarian restaurants! Owners Manhar and Nikula Patel opened the restaurant in 1996 and is mainly known for its stellar vegetarian Indian food. The Clay Pit

The Vegan Yacht

The Vegan Yacht offers plant-based goodness from their octopus adorned 1967 Airstream Land Yacht, the owners focus on serving organic, non-GMO food that even carnivores crave! Freeto burritos have been had by Yachtsters from all over while serving many festivals over the years. The Vegan Yacht has received many awards including 'Best Vegan Burrito' by Austin Chronicle 2013, 'Best Vegan Wrap' by Vegans Rock Austin 2014 and the winner of Progressive Insurance's nationwide 'Flo's Fabulous Food Truck Contest' 2015. Vegan Nom

Vegan Nom is Texas’ first all-vegan taco truck located East Austin on Cesar Chavez. All of their delicious tacos and hot sauces are plant-based to reduce our carbon footprint, improve animal welfare and health. Their breakfast tacos are on the menu all day and let’s not forget to mention that they also have vegan queso!

Veggie Heaven

1611 W 5th St, Austin, TX 78703 Veggie Heaven strives to uphold its legacy with eccentric Star Wars decor, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and an all vegetarian and vegan Asian-inspired menu. Their menu has old favorites like Protein 2000 (fried protein in sweet brown sauce) and Thunder Tofu and new items like their vegetarian ramen and bibimbop.
