Wimberley is the perfect town for those who are in love with the Texas Hill Country. With endless views and rolling hills and the Blanco River running right through town, the opportunities for discovering one of the most beautiful locales in all of Texas are limitless. Couple that with a number of local businesses offering dining and shopping, arts and crafts, and live music in and around Wimberley’s village center, and you’ll see why this town has a unique character that keeps its community together.

Wimberley is ideally situated.  It’s away from the city, and yet close enough to the city.  We’re only 45 minutes from the Austin Airport, for example.  We’re in the heart of the Hill Country, nearby Fredericksburg, Johnson City, Canyon Lake, all with a short distance drive.  

The real estate here in Wimberley is quite varied, with a wide selection of homes to choose from, starting in the mid-100s all the way up to the million dollar range.  The variety includes a lot of residence that have been built over the years as cabins for recreational use to modern day homes with all the amenities that one would choose.  

Wimberley has a great tradition of supporting education, brand new state of the art elementary school.  We have a charter school, the Katherine Anne Porter.  We have a high school that has a strong tradition of academic excellence and sports.  Wimberley has gone to the state championship a couple of times in the last two years.    

Wimberley has many cultural and recreational opportunities.  The city purchased Blue Hole on Cypress Creek and developed it into a wonderful city park.  We’re close to Canyon Lake, for all the water activities.  The town square in Wimberley has long been recognized as a high point in the Hill Country for shopping and the galleries and so on.  We have two local theaters, the Wimberley Players and the Emily Ann Theatre, and a large flea market once a month.  Wimberley has a unique history, starting out as a pioneer mill town, and now a vibrant community.

There are many community activities in which you can get involved, or you can simply stay at home and enjoy the beautiful nature from your own back porch.  

Wimberley is a live and let live community.  There are dozens of ways to live out here, and you can pick yours.  A lot of people don’t get Wimberley at first, so come and spend some time here and look around. Wimberley is detached from the city, and yet it is close enough that you can enjoy the benefits of the city. Those of us who live here wouldn’t live anywhere else.

Wimberley is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, just 38 miles southwest of Downtown Austin, or about a 45 minute drive.
