    The Rodeo Austin Gala is one of the city's largest black tie affairs and features a four-course meal, cocktails, a live and silent auction, and award-winning entertainment throughout the night.
  • Feb 7 - Hot Rods and Hatters 4th Annual Car Show
    Featuring Downtown Lockhart, this event has hosted over 200 cars from Classics to the Traditional Hot Rod with a Live Rockabilly Music atmosphere that envelopes the surround town square.
  • Feb 11 - Top Dog Direct Speed Pitch Event
    A cross between "Shark Tank” and “American Idol,” each inventor has 60 seconds to pitch a panel of executives to become the next "must have" infomercial product.
  • Feb 11 - Nerd Nite Austin
    Several folks give 18-21-minute fun-yet-informative presentations across all disciplines – while the audience drinks along. Also, often bands, acrobats, trivia, and other shenanigans as well.
  • Feb 14 - Valentine's Day

    The course runs through some of Austin’s most scenic and historic neighborhoods. Highlights include the Hyde Park neighborhood, Lady Bird Johnson Lake, the University of Texas campus, the State Capitol and Congress Avenue.

    The Austin Energy Regional Science Festival is one of Texas’ largest regional science fairs with almost 3,000 students from 3rd through 12th grade.
  • Feb 20-22 - Jugglefest
    Celebrating its 22nd year, Jugglefest is a three-day event full of workshops, games, demonstrations, and shows featuring juggling, unicycling, and related circus arts. Everyone is welcome to come on down to pick up the basics, learn some new tricks, meet some crazy people or just chill out and watch.
  • Feb 21-22 - That Takes the Cake
    Fabulous sugar artists (and more) to bring you an amazing cake show.
  • Feb 28 - African American Community Heritage Festival
    AACHF offers a family-friendly extravaganza filled with games and vendors; providing a Kid’s Zone with bounce houses, safety demonstrations, arts & crafts, home décor, books, clothing, jewelry, storytelling, health, vision and dental screenings and insurance outreach coupled with dance, giveaway prizes and a live entertainment mix to satisfy varying musical tastes.
  • Feb 28 - Carnaval Brasileiro
    Carnaval in Austin is one of the biggest Brazilian carnaval celebrations outside Brazil – samba, costumes and wild abandon – Brasileiro style in the heart of Texas.

    Skating, s'mores, games, twinkling lights and more at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa. Over 4,100 square foot ice rink that is accompanied by a display of over 200,000 twinkling lights and festive activities for the whole family to enjoy.
  • Jan 1 - First Thursday
    First Thursday is a popular monthly event that takes place along South Congress Avenue. On these nights, some stores have special sales going on or free drinks.
  • Jan 1 - Barton Springs Pool Polar Plunge
    Barton Springs Pool hosts a polar plunge to ring in the new year.
  • Jan 1 - West End Galleries First Thursday
    Spend the evening looking at the Russel Collection Fine Art and Wally Workman Gallery.
  • Jan 1 - 7 - Free Week
    Since 2003, the first week of January in Austin unites local bands, venues, and promoters celebrate the New Year and all things awesome about local music with a week of free shows.
  • Jan 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29 - Thursday Night Social Ride
    Social Cycling ATX brings Austin cyclists of all types together to share their love of riding bikes. Every Thursday of the month, people gather for a very casual cruise around town and for refreshments at hosted bars.
  • Jan 1-3, 7-10, 14-17, 21-24, & 28-31 Market Days at the Boggy Creek Farm
    A Boggy Creek Farm provides year-round Organic produce that are picked daily. Guests are able to visit the gardens and Hen House on the premise.
  • Jan 6, 13, 20, & 27 - Bavarian Nights
    Every Tuesday in January, Hotel San Jose courtyard host a celebration with pretzels, specialty big German beers, spiced mulled white wine and polka music.
  • Jan 11 - Disney in Concert
    Disney in Concert is derived from some of the most famous movie scores ever like Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pixar and more. The musical program explores many of Walt Disney’s stories and characters through some of the best-loved songs in movie history.
  • Jan 11 - Color Fun Fest 5K
    The Travis County Exposition Center will host a 5K run with the Holi Festival and the energy of electronic dance music. This color fun run features a post-run celebration with DJ entertainment all while covering the crowd with thousand of pounds of vibrant colored powder.
  • Jan 13 - Anchorman Pub Run Event + Screening
    The event begins with a walk/run to a nearby newsworthy destination and pint of local brew before heading back to watch the movie. Participants will also receive two tickets good for beer, soda, or popcorn once back at the theatre.
  • Jan 14 - Nerd Nite
    A combination of Q&A with three "intellectual obsessives," speed-dating, friend-matching, and curated pop-up library for the duration of the night.

    The Bass Concert Hall will showcase a smash-hit musical that combines ABBA’s greatest hits, including "Dancing Queen," "S.O.S," "Super Trouper," "Take a Chance on Me," and "The Winner Takes it All," with an enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship.
  • Jan 22 - Harlem Globetrotters
    The iconic Harlem Globetrotters are coming to the Frank Erwin Center with a family show, featuring some of the greatest athletes on the planet. With incredible ball handling wizardry, amazing rim-rattling dunks and trick shots, side-splitting comedy and unequaled on-court fan interaction, this must-see event is guaranteed to entertain the whole family creating memories that will last a lifetime.
  • Jan 31 - Austin Gorilla Run
    Run a 5K with friends or family and benefit mountain gorillas. Gorilla suits welcome and after-party to celebrate!
