For example, Lake Travis HS offers elective courses within the Institutes of Study, a comprehensive academic program that allows students to pursue an area of study in depth. The six Institutes of Study are: Institute of Humanities, Technology, and Communications; Institute of Advanced Sciences and Medicine; Institute of Veterinary and Agricultural Science; Institute of Business, Finance, and Marketing; Institute of Math, Engineering, and Architecture; and Institute of Fine Arts.
