Shady Hollow students attend excellent schools within the award-winning Austin Independent School District. You’ll find the middle school and high school within only two to three miles of Shady Hollow, with the elementary school situated within the neighborhood. With a recognized curriculum regulated by the Texas Education Agency you’ll find AISD schools offer the kind of education you desire for your student. The neighborhood also encircles more than 350 acres of city of Austin Nature Preserve adjacent to Slaughter Creek. There are great hike and bike trails everywhere that also allow you to enjoy the local wildlife.

Shady Hollow is convenient to South Park Meadows, Circle C Ranch, and Sunset Valley Shopping. There are lots of restaurants right down the road, such as Galaxy Café, Brick Oven, Texican, Tino’s Greek Café, Nanami Sushi Grill, and Texenza Coffeehouse. Also, a new Alamo Drafthouse Cinema just opened up right down the road. People around here are pretty excited about it.

Shady Hollow homes for sale are situated in a convenient spot located just off Brodie Ln, south of Slaughter Ln, in Southwest Austin. Commuting to Downtown Austin for work or play will take roughly 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. During rush hour the traffic is stop and go along Brodie Ln, like many other places in Austin. Getting to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport will take about 30 minutes using Interstate 35. Toll roads make getting to areas of North Austin or Round Rock much less of a hassle. Heading south on Interstate 35, you’ll find Buda and San Marcos.
