Shady Hollow is located in Southwest Austin, just 20 minutes from downtown. It’s east of Mopac. And South of Slaughter Lane and spans both sides of Brodie, north of 1626.
Construction in Shady Hollow began in the 1970s and continues to present day. The architectural styles of the homes in Shady Hollow vary from traditional and ranch style homes to more contemporary newer construction homes. Homes in the Shady Hollow area start in the 200,000’s and go up to the half million dollar price point. Homes range in size from about 1,500 square feet to more than 4,000 square feet. The neighborhood also encircles more than 350 acres of city of Austin Nature Preserve adjacent to Slaughter Creek. There are great hike and bike trails everywhere that also allow you to enjoy the local wildlife.
Shady Hollow is convenient to South Park Meadows, Circle C Ranch, and Sunset Valley Shopping. There are lots of restaurants right down the road, such as Galaxy Café, Brick Oven, Texican, Tino’s Greek Café, Nanami Sushi Grill, and Texenza Coffeehouse. Also, a new Alamo Drafthouse Cinema just opened up right down the road. People around here are pretty excited about it.
Shady Hollow is an established neighborhood with great schools and amenities, affordable homes, and easy access to downtown and the green belt.
