The Serene Hills Elementary School is one of the most recent developments in the Lake Travis Independent School District. Completed in 2008 by Fields Architects, the campus features 43 classrooms, 2 computer labs, a mixed-use cafeteria/gymnasium, a music and arts facility, and 14 special program spaces. The project cost the Lake Travis ISD approximately $14 million dollars.

The campus serves nearly 600 students from grades K-5 and strives to foster an engaging learning environment while serving parents, teachers, and the community abroad. Taking a unit-based approach to their core curriculum (language arts, reading, writing, math, science, and social studies), students receive a broad education that will prepare them for learning at the next level and beyond.

Additionally, students are counseled on social skills, character education, behavioral expectations as well as arts, music, physical education, and computer classes at one of the two computer labs on campus. Serene Hills Elementary also offers additional support to parents and students with specific needs, including S.A.I.L. (Student Assistance in Learning), Special Education, Discovery classes (gifted and talented program), health services, counseling, tutoring, and after school extended care.
