Eanes Independent School District covers almost 32 square miles in Travis County. The district serves over 8,000 students in 9 schools that include:

  • Westlake High School
  • West Ridge and Hill Country Middle Schools
  • Bridge Point, Cedar Creek, Barton Creek, Eanes, Forest Trail, and Valley View Elementary Schools

Eanes ISD strives to provide a guaranteed viable curriculum, student-centered learning environment, teacher effectiveness, responsible financial management, and community engagement. Overall, EISD enjoys a 96.1 attendance rate and a 0.2 dropout rate (State of Texas Public School Rate is 4.0%). Ninety-nine percent of 2016 Senior Class received acceptance to college. Currently, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) ranks all EISD schools as Met Standard (Highest Rating).

Which School Will My Child Attend?

According to their website at eanesisd.net, the best way to determine school assignments for Eanes ISD homes for sale is Travis County Central Appraisal District. Check the tax jurisdiction for each address you are considering. There is also a boundary map on the EISD website that shows attendance zones for each school. In general, Eanes ISD may include neighborhoods in Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Lost Creek, Davenport, Rob Roy, and Cuernavaca.

If attending a specific school is important, buyers interested in Eanes ISD homes for sale should call the school district or the TEA for the most current and accurate school assignment information. The TEA is also an excellent resource for school performance and rankings. In 2017, the TEA introduced an A-F rating system for all districts and campuses assessing student performance and readiness for post-high school education. In 2017, Eanes ISD will be the first school system in Texas participating in the LEAP program (Learning and Engaging through Access and Personalization). EISD serves as a 1:1 mobile device district committed to using technology to engage students. This plan provides an iPad for every student from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

The LEAP Program:

  • Using the Apple Classroom tool, teachers can monitor each child’s engagement and performance
  • Allows teacher to monitor use of applications reducing distractions
  • Provides instructional materials to students
  • Better technical support when every student is on the same device
  • Better presentation opportunities through wireless communication with Apple TVs
