Quail Creek is a large neighborhood in North Austin's 78758 zip code. Between North Lamar Boulevard and Metric Boulevard, Payton Gin Road and Kramer Lane, the community's central point is Quail Creek Park, a 16-acre area with shade trees, walking trails, a playground, and picnic tables. With a location 9 miles north of Downtown Austin, near Interstate 35, Highway 183, and MoPac Expressway / TX-1 Loop, Quail Creek offers homeowners accessibility alongside local parks, schools, and shopping centers.

Austin ISD serves the Quail Creek community. Students attend Wooldridge, Cook, or McBee Elementary Schools (PK-5), Burnet Middle (6-8), and Lanier High School (9-12). A wide variety of daycare and private school programs are in the area, such as Stepping Stone School (6 weeks – After School), Austin Montessori (18 months – 15 years), Magellan International School (3 years – 8th grade), and Brentwood Christian School (2 years – 12th grade).
