Students in Fiesta Gardens attend schools in Austin ISD Schools. Metz Elementary (K-5), Martin Middle School (6-8), and both Eastside Memorial High School (9-12) and Austin High School (9-12) are the assigned schools for Fiesta Gardens students. Founded in 1881, Austin High School is one of the oldest public high schools this side of the Mississippi, and an example of a thriving, traditional downtown school campus, which many other cities elsewhere have seen close down.

Hi, I’m Todd with Realty Austin, and I’m here to show you around Fiesta Gardens. The Fiesta Gardens neighborhood is located just east of downtown, and is only about a ten-minute drive from the Austin Airport. It’s located south of Cesar Chavez, west of Pleasant Valley, east of I-35, and just north of Town Lake. Homes in the Fiesta Gardens range in age from the early 1900s to new construction. It’s very common today to see a charming remodeled bungalow right next to a newly constructed modern home. Prices in the area start at 225 and range all the way up to nearly $1 million.

The wide variety of architectural tastes make it a great place for many people to call home. The elementary schools are Metz Elementary and Sanchez Elementary. The middle school is Martin Middle School, and the two high schools are East Side Memorial High and Austin High School. One of the most amazing amenities of the Fiesta Gardens neighborhood is its proximity to Town Lake. The lake stretches over two miles along the southern border of the neighborhood. It’s very common to see people out running, biking, and hiking along the many trails that weave through the neighborhood. Fiesta Gardens is also known for several of its eateries.

Two of the most notable are Cenote and Juan in a Million. Cenote is a new coffee shop located in a newly remodeled home just north of Cesar Chavez. Juan in a Million has been here for decades, and it’s very common to see Juan greeting his guests in the morning with a handshake and a smile. One of the reasons people would enjoy living in the Fiesta Gardens area is its proximity to downtown. Also, it’s a great place to enjoy the outdoors, the hike and bike trail, and the access to Town Lake. In addition, the dining and entertainment are amazing in the area, and it’s an overall fantastic lifestyle.

Fiesta Gardens is still an affordable neighborhood close to downtown. East Austin has been called one of the hippest neighborhoods in the country.
