Del Valle TX

Located in eastern Travis County, Del Valle is an unincorporated community on land granted to Mexican nobleman Santiago del Valle in the 1800s. With the growth of the Austin businesses and developers expanding east, eventually, the line between Austin and Del Valle blurred, along with Austin annexing portions including the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. While it has no local government of its own and no official boundaries, Del Valle still maintains an independent school district as well as a distinct countryside atmosphere. Del Valle features several home styles, from original 1950s ranch properties to master planned communities built as recently as the 2010s.

Dell Valle is in Eastern Travis County. Its boundaries are loosely on the Colorado River, Highway 130, Highway 45, and Highway 183. Del Valle is approximately 15 miles southeast of Downtown Austin and six miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Things to do in Del Valle

Although much of Del Valle is rural, some of Austin's most popular attractions are located within its boundaries, including the Circuit of the Americas and Austin360 Amphitheater. This area is a nature lovers' dream, with hiking, fishing, kayaking, bird watching, and swimming at nearby spots like McKinney Falls State Park, Barkley Meadows Park, and Southeast Metropolitan Park. Residents are about 14 miles from Southpark Meadows for retailers, restaurants, and a movie theater, and about 10 miles from an HEB Plus! grocery store for everyday needs.
