The Countryside neighborhood is often considered part of Bee Cave Woods, specifically the area just off Walsh Tarlton and Thousand Oaks Dr. People choose Countryside because of its great location, close to Barton Creek Square Mall with very easy access to Downtown and Mopac Loop 1. Countryside is also close to the Barton Creek Greenbelt and is just minutes from Zilker Park. Pop Warner football is extremely popular in this area, and the school sports programs in Eanes ISD are known for their excellence. Countryside is perfectly placed to allow an easy journey Downtown without much traffic, and it's only about 20 minutes to the airport. Students in Countryside attend schools in Eanes ISD
Where is Countryside?
Countryside is so sought after because it is one of the closest neighborhoods to Austin’s most important parkland, Zilker Park and its neighboring Barton Creek Greenbelt. Just beyond that is Downtown Austin, while Lake Austin is just minutes away. Living in Countryside, you’ll find that your commute and your weekend getaways are much more convenient and stress-free. Getting out to the airport and the new F1 Circuit of the Americas track is an easy swing down Loop 360 to Highway 71, and taking those same highways west quickly gets you out to the splendor of the Texas Hill Country.
Countryside is just minutes from the Barton Creek Greenbelt and Zilker Park, two examples of the natural spaces that make Austin such a great place to live. When you’ve had your fill of the outdoors, Rudy's Bar-B-Q is just down the road, and there are many great shopping and dining options at the Bee Cave Woods shopping center and at Barton Creek Square Mall. Countryside is served by Eanes Independent School District. Some schools are so close to home that kids can walk to and from school. The district has received the highest rating of Exemplary from the Texas Education Agency, and Westlake High School consistently appears on national rankings of the best high schools in America.
