Claircrest is a small, three-street neighborhood located in the northern-most part of East Austin in Travis County's 78723 zip code. Sitting south of US-290 as it loops back to Interstate 35 north of the city, Claircrest is a community of modest homes that date back to the 1950s and 1960s.

There are also several nearby public golf courses, as well as beautiful Muller Lake Park.
Mueller hosts the Dell Children’s Medical Center and the Thinkery museum, as well as some retailers and a favorite farmers’ market on Sundays. The stores and restaurants of Capital Plaza are a few blocks away, and neighbors shop for groceries at nearby HEB and Fiesta grocery stores. Plus, The Austin Medical District and Brackenridge Hospital are 4 miles south on Interstate 35.
