This little shopping center, from a simpler time, is where the locals gather. Little Deli, famous for tasty comfort fare, has picnic tables where dogs lounge while their owners bask in the sun waiting for their food. The Crestview/Brentwood neighborhood is located in the heart of North Central Austin, just four miles from the UT Campus and five miles north of downtown. The boundaries of the neighborhood are Burnet Road to the West, Lamar Boulevard to the East, Anderson Lane to the North and 45th Street to the South. The Crestview and Brentwood area was built in the late 1940s and 50s. Most homes in the area were built as simple, pier and beam, wood frame cottage-style homes under 1300 sq. ft. You can also find some original ranch style homes in the area as well.

Today, most of the homes in the neighborhood had some kind of addition or space added to the home in the form of a master suite or even a second story. Many of the homes have been completely remodeled or rebuilt from the ground up. One thing that attracts a lot of buyers to the neighborhood is the charming houses and the original hardwood floors.

The neighborhood schools are Brentwood Elementary, Lamar Middle School, and McCallum High School. Students from all over the city attend Lamar Middle School and McCallum High School for their Fine Arts programs. 

Nestled in the heart of the neighborhood is Brentwood Park. The park features a swimming pool, basketball courts and plenty of room for the kids to roam. Conveniently located in the center of the neighborhood and just steps away from many of the houses, is the Crestview Shopping Center. The shopping center features the neighborhood grocery store, the Crestview Pharmacy, the Little Deli, and Crestview Barbershop.

If you want to venture to the edge of the neighborhood for your shopping needs, then the Burnet Road and the Anderson Lane corridors have just about everything you can imagine. The neighborhood features some of Austin’s most notable and iconic restaurants. There’s Threadgills, where you can enjoy great food and live music, Top Notch Hamburgers, where residents can have a burger and watch a drive-in movie, and there’s the Frisco Shop on Burnett Road, serving Austinites for the past 60 years. People want to live in the Crestview and Brentwood area because it’s unique. It’s in the core of Austin and convenient to everything that you need. 

One of the benefits of the neighborhood is public transportation with the Crestview Metro Rail Station. Because the neighborhood is well-established, there’s plenty of mature trees, green spaces, and neighborhood charm.
