Blackland Austin

Blackland, once a farming community outside the city of Austin, has traded its historic past for a well-deserved future as one of East Austin's rising neighborhoods. Located between Manor Road and E Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, Blackland is east of Interstate 35 in Travis County's 78722 zip code.

The Blackland neighborhood is made up of a grid of streets with a balanced mix of architectural styles. Craftsman-style cottages from the 1940s, many with remodeled interiors, mingle with newly built modern-industrial homes loaded with eco-friendly features. The streets are broad and spacious, with plenty of mature pecan trees and ornamentals like crepe myrtles shading this well-kept neighborhood.

This centrally-located community offers lots of conveniences. Residents walk to locally-owned cafes and restaurants on Manor Road. Downtown, the Austin Medical District, and the University of Texas are less than 1.5 miles away. There are many green spaces nearby, and the stores at the Mueller shopping center are just 2 miles north.
