For the really adventuresome, Milton Reimer’s Ranch Park and the Hamilton Pool Preserve are only a short drive from the entrance of Belvedere. Reimer’s Ranch Park is a 2,400 acre haven for outdoor enthusiasts. The Pedernales River forms the western boundary of the park and provides an ideal place to catch White Bass when water levels permit. The park has abundant wildlife, features almost 20 miles of mountain bike trails, and has numerous hiking trails appropriate for various ages and fitness levels. And Reimer’s Ranch is also known as one of the best places for rock climbing in the entire state of Texas. Just three miles from Reimer’s Ranch is the Hamilton Pool Preserve. This historic swimming hole features a 50-foot waterfall.
