Behrens Ranch is a community of 992 homes located just two miles west of I-35 in the heart of West Round Rock. The community began in 2001 and features a mixture of traditional, European, and Hill Country style homes. In total, there are about 500 acres with over 200 acres of green space. Amenities in Behrens Ranch include several miles of hike and bike trails, three swimming pools for adults and children, two tennis courts, picnic areas, playscapes, and an indoor amenity center that can be used by the residents for parties and gatherings. Behrens Ranch is perfect for those with an active lifestyle.
In addition to the amenities in the community, nearby you have the Brushy Creek trail system with over 20 miles of hike and bike trails, a duck pond, and a lake for fishing and kayaking. Children in the community have access to the popular Cactus Ranch Elementary, Walsh Middle School, and Round Rock High School. The elementary and middle school are on site, and just a short walk from every home in the community. For shopping residents have several choices. Behrens Ranch is close to several H-E-B grocery stores, the shops at La Frontera, and the Round Rock outlet mall. The area has some excellent dining choices. Some of my favorites include Jack Allen's, Chuy's, and a fun downtown restaurant scene including Main Street Grill.
What I love about this medium-sized community is it really has a small community feel and charm. Each section of the community has its own identity and is surrounded by limestone walls and interconnected by sidewalks and hiking trails. One of the things I love about this community is it's close to the hustle and bustle of our growing city, but feels quiet and peaceful.
