Bauerle Ranch Schools

Bauerle Ranch students attend Kocurek Elementary School, Bailey Middle School, and Akins High School (one of the newest schools in Austin), all part of the Austin Independent School District. These schools offer many opportunities for extracurricular activities including athletics, science fairs, dance and art competitions, theater, and more. Unique to Akins High School is the full orchestra, which has received awards in competitions. Bailey Middle School also has nationally recognized programs in band and orchestra.

We’re here today to show you around one of our favorite southwest Austin neighborhoods, Bauerle Ranch. Bauerle Ranch is conveniently located 20 minutes from downtown Austin and 20 minutes from Austin Bergstrom International Airport. It’s west of I-35, east of Mopac, south of Slaughter Lane, and located in between Brody Lane and Manchaca Road.

The neighborhood is divided into two sections separated by a large green belt. Those two sections are Bauerle Ranch and the Estates at Bauerle Ranch.

Construction in the neighborhood began in 2002 and was completed in 2008. All of the nearly 600 homes in the community are traditional in style and range in square footage from 1,800 square feet to upwards of 3,500 square feet.

Bauerle Ranch has great schools. They are Kiseric Elementary, Bailey Middle School, and Akins High School.

One of the selling points of Bauerle Ranch is the amenities. The community has a large pool for residents that includes a beachfront entry that is great for kids.

A lot of great restaurants are within ten minutes of Bauerle Ranch. These include Maudie’s, Brick Oven Pizza, and Waterloo.

Bauerle Ranch is a newer neighborhood, but it feels more established with mature trees and quiet, winding streets. Fire clients who haven’t seen the neighborhood are often shocked by how much green space is available to residents and by how quiet and pretty it is.
