Avery Ranch Glenfield students attend Rutledge and Patsy L. Sommer elementary schools, Cedar Valley and Artie L. Henry middle schools, and Vista Ridge and McNeil high schools. Public schools are part of either the Leander or Round Rock ISDs.
McNeil is part of the Round Rock ISD, which boasts an average student-teacher ratio of 15:1 and a dropout rate of only 1.3 percent. McNeil is also home to an Engineering Academy and a Health Sciences Academy designed to prepare high school students planning to specialize in those fields.
Vista Ridge High, part of the Leander ISD, also boasts a strong science program, and its students have taken home the Sweepstakes Award at the Austin Regional Science Fair nine out of the last ten years.
