Native Austinite and award-winning multi-million dollar producer, Realtor Michelle Keahey has been a licensed realtor since 1987. She is well-known not just for her market expertise, but also for her discerning eye and inspired taste. From Zero-scaping gardens to redesigning interiors; and sharing photography from her travels to entertaining at home, Austin’s vibrant real estate market allows her to combine these skills bringing keen insight and expertise in buying, selling, or investing in real estate.
Michelle’s knowledge of Austin is hard to beat. She was raised in Austin’s Tarrytown neighborhood through her mid-teens. After attending the University of Houston, she started her real estate career in Houston in 1988 with one of the leading residential firms in the country. Learning the business from the ground up, Michelle worked with the very best top producing agents selling exclusive properties in some of the Central Texas area’s most affluent neighborhoods.
She expanded her knowledge as an office manager and sales assistant to another leading firm in Houston, gaining valuable administrative experience. Michelle then headed west with her real estate expertise in Midland, Texas. There she sold everything from raw acreage to ranching estates. In 1996, she returned to Austin as both a Buyer’s and Sellers’ agent until, in the year 2000, she saw the beginning of Austin’s urban renewal as an opportunity to be one of the first to sell downtown condominiums. That year alone, she helped close over $12 million in residential condominium sales as Sales and Marketing Director of the LBJ Holding Company’s loft conversions of the historic Brown Building downtown. She has remained an annual multi-million dollar producer and a grateful Austin resident.
As her clients express, one of the best things about Michelle is her versatility. Her keen astatic sense and creative energy make her not just a Realtor but also a specialist in the “total home experience.” Michelle has helped innumerable Sellers with remodels, landscaping, and interior design, consistently yielding them sales prices ten to twenty percent higher than they otherwise might have realized. She has also helped Buyers visualize not just what a house is, but what it could be, and how it might best be updated to suit their needs. Her attention to detail and uncompromising service in every facet of buying or selling a home continue to bring her referrals - and high praise - from nearly everyone she works with, for years to come. Michelle specializes in remodels, landscaping, interior design/staging, historic properties, short-term rentals, and investment property.
Of course, Michelle’s own home is one of the finest testaments to her flair for good design. Since 2003, she has worked to transform her 1928 Travis Heights cottage into one of the most charming homes in the city, adding a master suite, a guest house, and an outdoor oasis.
- Her home has been featured in HGTV’s cooking show, and her guest house was filmed for their “Tiny House” series. She shares this home - graciously - with numerous guests seeking short-term rentals for their vacation destination.
