Lori Elam exceeded expectations throughout the entire process of selling our condo and buying a new home. She is patient, responsive, and thorough and took the time to guide us through everything... from understanding the buying and selling process, to offering suggestions (when asked) about what we should/shouldn't update to get more money out of our condo, to reviewing contracts for accuracy, and even providing recommendations for reputable inspectors. Buying and selling a home is stressful, but a lot of that stress is alleviated when you have a rock star realtor in your corner. We had a few bumps along the way, with an offer being withdrawn, but that didn't faze Lori. We just kept discussing strategy and making adjustments to keep offers flowing in for the condo. I was also quite impressed with Lori's tactfulness and negotiating skills. We would have overpaid for our new home and wouldn't have gotten nearly what we did for buyer's credits after the home inspection if Lori hadn't paid close attention to tidbits of information about how motivated the seller was. Through multiple calls with the listing agent, she respectfully got a pulse on what we should offer, combed through details of the inspection, and set the stage for an aggressive but fair offer that was accepted. We couldn't be happier with Lori, and there's no one else we trust more to help us in the future!

We worked remotely with Lori to buy a house in Austin while living in California. The whole process, from start to finish, took no longer than 2 months, and we were very happy to find the perfect house in our top location of preference! Lori was proactive in checking out houses as they hit the market and would be on a video call with us every weekend as she went house hunting for us! She was immensely helpful to suggest and help with minor updates to set up the house for rent, find contractors and provide quotes, and even went out of her way to pick up items from the stores, purchase decor that would complement the house well, hunt for good paint options, etc. We loved working with her and are more than happy to recommend her to our friends in the future.

Lori is an absolutely amazing Realtor. I've been on the hunt for a home for 4 long months now, and Lori and helped me every step of the way. She is very patient/methodical in assessing properties I shortlisted as my favourites and made sure she got back to each and every one of them- even though it was past midnight. She does not take your money for granted. It is easy for a Realtor to say, "if you can afford it go 20% above LP, and you will get it". But Lori considers the clients' money as if it were her own money. She is never tired of driving and has lots of energy! She has excellent communication/negotiation skills. Her emails are so well worded that she was able to get a price reduction in such a seller's market. I could go on, but these were the qualities that stood out to me.

My experience with Lori was a dream come true by her making. I never thought I could own a home. She made it happen. And she got me into a beautiful, energy-efficient home. I have bad knees, and they were going to have to build my house. She got out of the car and walked on one of the hottest days. The temp showed 107. She went street by street and lot by lot trying to find the flattest lot, so I would not have a sloping driveway or stairs to contend with. And she found one with the mailboxes near the end of my driveway. Because I knew nothing about buying a home, she stayed with me throughout the process, either in person, on the phone, or texting. If she didn’t feel people were moving fast enough, she sent emails and copied me. She was there for every inspection and walkthrough. My fridge was delayed due to COVID. She showed up with a huge cooler to keep my food cold until I got one. While she did all this for me, she was helping my sister sell her townhome and buy a house in Santa Rita. Lori is what a Realtor should be; she is like a member of our family, and we are so grateful to her for helping us find the home of our dream.

When we think of Austin and rental investments, the first 2 words that come to mind are Lori Elam. This is our 3rd purchase with Lori. And whlist there are so many Realtors and realty companies there catering to the vast plethora of remote investors, we just blindly wholeheartedly go back to Lori again and again and again. I could write pages about how amazing Lori is, but here are the top 3 reasons we work only with her: 1. Thorough investigation: Being remote, one needs to trust one's realtor, which means no half-arsed work. Lori is extremely thorough from the very first step: she digs into the neighbourhood, sometimes even visits the area just to confirm that it's a good investment. She notices the smallest of things that could make a big difference, specifically the things that we don't realise could. I also like how she'll just call out properties as good or bad. In short, no "used car salesman" approach with her! This continues through the purchase 2. Attention to detail: She always comes prepared for every interaction, every transaction. All the more remarkable, but she remembers names, houses, everything so well despite juggling with so many people. 3. Cheerful and positive attitude: Home buying can be stressful, and in our busy worlds, we tend to forget some things discussed in the last interaction. Lori is very accommodating, goes over things again and again with a smile. One never feels that one is bothering her. She has a very pleasant disposition - warm, friendly, and yet, talks business. In short, Lori is the kind of realtor who'd make any enterprise or organisation successful. She has her own unique brand, her own flavour in the way she goes about doing things, and any company is lucky to have her. I've often told her to start her own business, she'd easily kick arse to all the big-name realty companies out there! 

Lori was a neighbor of ours before she became our Realtor. Given that, Lori has always exceeded our expectations in quality, attention to detail, and representing our interests.
