Carson was absolutely amazing! Even in this tough market, he always communicated in a timely manner.  He asks important questions we don't know to ask.  He fought some hard battles with our builder and made sure we were protected when we had concerns about the grading and landscaping in our yard.  He made sure we knew we had a right not to close when the builder didn't have the gas meter installed. These are just a few recent examples of how Carson's customer service exceeds expectations, but I have countless reasons to praise him. He has been by our side for the last 7 months while our house was built and has been our champion every step of the way. It was so great working with Carson. He somehow made us feel like we were her only clients. He always had time to help us or answer questions. He manages to be both 100% professional yet 100% approachable and friendly.

I cannot imagine any real estate agent in the Great State of Texas could or would have gone so far above and beyond the call of duty than Mr. Carson Hiner did for us in the sale of Downs Drive. He worked tirelessly to get a great sale. There is a long list. He recommended improvements that were all helpful, then directed the contractor's work (which was substandard). The great storm undid all that work, and he then did it all again, without complaint, and to a high standard. Carson organized and paid for the house to be staged. He recommended sensibly on price and brought to the table a clean, well-priced offer. I should mention that I'm an absentee owner residing in New Zealand. The sale went through without a hitch. Communication throughout was exemplary, notwithstanding a 17-hour time differential. Exceptional service all around. Realty Austin should be fortunate to have him on their team.

I wanted to take a moment to share with you our experience with Carson Hiner, as it was truly outstanding. My husband and I both met Carson about 8-9 years ago when we visited Austin and looked for a condo to purchase. Prior to meeting Carson, we had already interviewed and engaged the services of an independent agent/broker to assist us, and we’ll call her LD. This was not our first rodeo buying real estate, so we have a pretty good idea of what good looks like, and let’s just say LD is not it. Not even close. Enter Carson. We had our eye on a condo complex that we were anxious to check-out. Unfortunately, our existing agent refused to show us the property as she “felt” the building was not a good fit (did I mention she was difficult to work with?) Fortunately, the real estate gods were smiling upon as Carson happened to be holding an open house in that very same building. This is where we first met. While we did not purchase the unit he was showing, we did end up purchasing another unit in the building. Through our brief interaction with Carson, he was incredibly kind and generous with his knowledge of Austin and the local real estate market. As we started the closing process with LD, she continued to disappoint ( no referrals for inspectors, lenders, guidance on contract terms, etc.). It was a bit of a nightmare. I reached out to Carson to see if he knew anyone, and it was with his assistance that we identified the missing pieces. Even though he had nothing to gain financially from the transaction, he helped us because he is just a good human being, salt of the earth good, and consummate professional. My husband and I both committed to ourselves that we would definitely engage his services for our next real estate transaction, not knowing how soon that would be. Fast forward to last summer, our cute little downtown Austin condo no longer suited our needs. My mother had reached a point in her life where living on her own was just no longer an option. We traveled to San Diego to help pack her home to make the move to Austin. Enter Covid. We were stuck in California with no safe way to travel back and forth to look at homes. It was a difficult time. We reached out to Carson for assistance in finding a house that fit our new family dynamic, and Carson was just amazing throughout the entire process. He provided comprehensive video walk-throughs for properties we were interested in (it was just like being there with all the details of what you want to see in person), sharing the good and not-so-good of every home. He was a true consultant to us and was part of team Gordon the entire time. We went through about 7 offers before we landed our current home, we were over asking on every single property, but the market being what it was at the time unless you had a full cash offer, it was just par for the course. It was an emotionally charged time for us, and Carson was empathic and supportive every step of the way, giving us space and time we needed between each transaction to allow for us to emotionally recover from the loss.  We had a lot of moving pieces that needed to come together while purchasing our home long distance, in the middle of a pandemic, all wrapped up in a ridiculously competitive real estate market. Carson went above and beyond to ensure the process was flawless. Carson is what everyone should hope for in a real estate agent, and we are so incredibly thankful to him for his patience, partnership, and passion in helping us find the home that was just right for us.

I recently purchased my first property. I purchased in Austin, Texas while living and working in California. I met with a few different realtors in Austin, but decided to work with Carson shortly after my first interaction with him. He is thoughtful, honest, listens to your needs, communicates well and knows the process. Out of the gate he listened to my goals and was able to propose various investment models and opportunities that could meet those goals. He did not try to push me into one cookie cutter model. And each time he answered my many questions in an honest and straightforward manner. I turned down dozens of ideas and entered into the bidding process a handful of times (requiring material work by Carson). He consistently brought me ideas, answered questions honestly and ultimately just helped me ramp up on the decision making process that is required to invest in real estate. Carson was invaluable in the bidding and purchase process. I was working full-time and traveling for work but he stayed on the paperwork and negotiations to make sure nothing slipped.
