It was a pleasure working with Sharon in our home buying. She was very professional and kept in mind all our requirements, not wasting our time and energy. She showed us relevant homes that would meet our needs and such to our price and timeline. She was not shy about being available as needed. We thank her for all of this.

I've been in sales for almost 30 years, and when I'm pushing hard and closing deals. Sharon pushes hard and closes deals. Sharon has achieved a modicum of life balance in a highly challenging sales career, which in turn allows her to be her fresh and poised charming shark self, to push hard, and close deals for her clients during the week. She's a pillar of the community and strongly supports the Lake Travis Mountain Bike Team-a great team, and dear to my heart. In addition, I have zero concern and 100% confidence in referring her to family, friends, and even adversaries. She will invariably do the right thing-take care of her clients with stupendous conscientious service or walk away from an unreasonable time, and effort sucks, as appropriate. She is the best Realtor there can realistically be. She's poised to give the whiz-bang AI-driven robotic Realtors of the future a run for their money.

On the deal and money front, Sharon has handled three sales, and three purchase transactions for me in the last 18 months. On the sales side, she is uncannily accurate in her pricing and on the purchase side, she pushes for and gets as many discounts and concessions as possible, reducing my dollar outlay. I truly believe she loves deriving maximum value for her clients-lower prices and more free stuff for buyers, and the highest possible price and holding the line on giveaways for sellers.

Sharon listed my home and got the exact number we wanted; so 100% accuracy. This transaction involved buyers who were demanding and a pain in the a**, and a buyer's agent who was out to lunch, if not incompetent, or both. Sharon gracefully handled the pain in the a** buyers, while doing both her job, and the other agent's job, and got me my exact number. This transaction was a little dicey in that we fell out of contract with the seller due to sale delays on 1213 Lakeshore (caused mostly by the pain in the ass buyers, and out to lunch/incompetent buyer's agent), but we ultimately closed the transaction. Sharon concurred with me that there was a great amount of hidden value in these two lots (because she does copious amounts of homework, knows the LTISD lakeshore market astoundingly well, and has great vision).

Well, we were, in fact, right, and Sharon sold 1239 Lakeshore by itself in March 2019. Sharon consulted with me, and after a few grand worths of lot clearing and landscaping, a new oversized well pump and pipe, calling PEC to get the power turned on, running Uverse internet to the lot, and septic soil sample holes and septic sizing study, we extracted 1239 Lakeshore's hidden value. From the pricing accuracy metric perspective, Sharon priced 1239 at a great price with a 3.78% discount. Once again, truth be told, we wanted $250K, so we ended up $5K to the good. This should be noted because lesser and lazy Realtors wouldn't have pushed hard and expended the extra effort for the extra $5K. Sharon does (notwithstanding that she knew I would have been tickled pink with $250K), and did.

So, at this point, I owned 1248 Lakeshore free and clear. This transaction is the most impressive transaction Sharon has closed for me to date. Hands down, bar none. Due to my divorce in May of 2019, I was facing new and unforeseen DTI challenges owing to exceedingly generous child support I agreed to pay. I needed to very quickly extract the equity from 1248 Lakeshore Drive to close on the purchase of 2603 Oak Ridge Drive I was by then under contract to purchase, with significant money expended on earnest money, survey, etc. Sharon listed it for $184.9K. We were being lowballed by the purchasers of 1239 Lakeshore at $110K then ultimately $115K. Sharon closed 1248 Lakeshore for $140K CASH in under one month from contract to close. Because of this, I avoided the financial buzz saw of falling out of contract, losing thousands of dollars and, not to mention the opportunity cost of not being able to extract the hidden value in 2603 Oak Ridge Drive.

It's hard to overstate the accomplishment Sharon achieved in selling 1248 Lakeshore for the amount she did, when she did, and how she did it. I'm not sweating the $20-30K left on the table, nor, do I ding her against her accuracy metrics for this, She got me $25K more than the folks who should have bought it was offering. And she got it in cash, in July. The best analogy for this transaction is that she was on her own 2-yard line, it was 4th down, in the Super Bowl, there were 2 seconds on the clock, no timeouts, and her team was down by 5 points. She dropped back into her own end zone and threw a 98 yard Hail Mary pass, connected with a receiver who scored, and her team won the game by 1 point, with no time on the clock. Outstanding! Buzzsaw excruciating client loss avoided.

As for 2603 Oak Ridge, I was not looking to purchase anything. I had just spent on lot clearing and cedar removal in preparation to build a killer barndominium. I had run PEC power to the lot (underground at additional expense), plus Uverse (underground). I had septic study holes and sizing study done, barndominium plans, architect retained, etc. Sharon who had the 2603 Oak Ridge listing approached me at least five times in her pecan pie smooth Louisiana voice and asked if I was interested? What would the harm be in looking at 2603 Oak Ridge? I rebuffed her at least five times. On attempt 6, I caved and looked at it. The rest is history. I saw hidden value, great potential, and went under contract.

I closed, and in the intervening weeks, I have applied my magic to 2603 Oak Ridge Drive. Landscapers have cleared massive amounts of brush, bramble, trash trees, and cedar from the slope to the lake, and throughout the entire lot. Multiple gargantuan trailer loads of debris have been carted off. I installed a fence with a gate across the front road frontage of the property. I have moved the septic permitting process forward after received the Travis County Compliance Letter. I was on my way to purchase furniture for 2603 Oak Ridge Drive when I took a call from Sharon. Seems that now, Sharon wants to sell 2603 Oak Ridge again, so I postponed my furniture purchase. I had informed her that she should consider 2603 Oak Ridge as a soft pocket listing when I closed on it.

Sharon flat rocks. It is abundantly easy to see why she is one of Austin's top Realtors. Realty Austin is truly lucky to have her! I didn't even address her dedication and diligence. Like, conducting her own open houses. This may seem obvious, and a no-brainer, but it is not uniformly the case. Sharon conducted at least five open houses to sell 1213 Lakeshore, maybe 6 or 7. My prior Realtor conducted 0 open houses, opting to send clueless assistants instead. Sharon knows her houses, the market, the pluses, minuses, and is personally there and fully engage at her frequent open houses to personally answer questions she is well prepared to answer.

Sharon Murray was recommended to my wife and I from a close friend in the mortgage business. Whenever making a recommendation, one recognizes that the person being recommended will, in turn, be a reflection upon them and candidly, could potentially impact a friendship. No worries here, he and I stay the best of friends after his strong endorsement of Sharon and her exceptional service. Since we’re located in the Dallas area, Sharon served as our eyes on the street, literally of course, in the Austin area. Not only did she help us reevaluate some of our initial priorities and price points, but she added a significant amount of information regarding existing and anticipated market conditions in the Austin area.

Together, we all moved swiftly to find a lot that protected us against ever increasing valuations in Austin, that gave us the views and beauty I’d been desperately searching for while also assessing then introducing us to several potential builders. We’ll break ground with our ultimate choice in a year or so. I’m thrilled and grateful to say that it’ll be ground broken on the perfect property that has fit our perfect picture. Sharon Murray is the consummate, caring, attentive, energetic, thoughtful professional. She was instrumental in making this happen.

Whatever you need, Sharon Murray is on it! Sharon helped us look at tons of houses before we decided on our condo. She has references to every point-of-contact necessary for the closing process and for settling into the new home. She's super knowledgeable about on-going building trends and projected market value for different neighborhoods. If you mention a house you want to look into, Sharon is on it in getting you a look at the place, immediately! We couldn't have asked for a more personable, dependable, and connected agent to work with. I recommend everyone to Sharon and hope to stay in touch for future purchases.

I have purchased and sold six homes, one commercial building, and two vacant lots in 4 states in my lifetime. I have used 12 individual Realtors for this transactions-either on the buyer or seller side. Sharon Murray is by far, the best I have ever worked with, hands down. I used her for the sale of my property in Spicewood and the purchase of other lots in Spicewood.

I have referred her to dear personal friends, both of whom purchased homes with Sharon's assistance. Sharon is the only Realtor I have ever used that I have recommended to personal friends. Both of these folks are nice but are also very high maintenance. Sharon took excellent care of both of them, found them properties they both love, and both are extremely grateful for her assistance.

I had an awful experience with a local Realtor and brokerage before I reached out to Realty Austin and connected with Sharon. In my view, bad Realtors and brokerages are lazy, too busy to personally research and get to know the property and the market. They are too busy to show the property themselves, or hold open houses-they send underlings as placeholders that know even less, can't answer questions, and are not credible. Marketing is seen as an expense, not an investment, so active and creative marketing is not undertaken. They don't show up to closing. They don't assist with inspections, mortgage, title, or other logistics. They sell based on price and are perpetually advocating for endless price reductions.

Sharon and Realty Austin for that matter possess none of the above qualities. Sharon researched the property. She invested huge sums and effort in creative marketing with drone video, professional photography, etc. Sharon refused to allow me to drop the price (refreshing) and insisted on holding firm. She priced my property right, and we closed it in a very reasonable market time. She didn't overprice it to get the listing, then dropped it after. The buyer(s) were problematic (we had a couple of them at the alter a few times) and Sharon managed them (and their lesser yet demanding Realtors) superbly. Sharon went above and beyond on open houses, six almost every weekend or another weekend. Sharon assisted with and was present for inspections, title, mortgage, closing. Sharon was completely candid, transparent, forthcoming, and honest. In essence, she was the perfect Realtor.

Sharon is awesome, and Realty Austin is lucky to have her. I will continue to use her exclusively for my real estate needs. And, I will certainly refer her to additional folks I know, in full confidence that she will take care of them.

This is the second time we have worked with Sharon. Obviously, working with her a second time is because of how things went the first time! Sharon is very professional, works hard and is fair when it comes to the buyer and seller (no matter who she is representing). Hopefully, we don't need Sharon again for a really long time! However, when we do, she will be the first person we call!!

We relocated from New Hampshire/South Carolina and wanted to find a Realtor that knew the Austin area and could right-fit us towards a great area of the city. Sharon did just that. She was great to work with and knew based on our interests, careers, and other factors where to show us great homes and communities. Sharon spent countless hours with us as we spent a weekend looking at homes in the area. We ended up in a great community and in a great home. We recommend Sharon to anyone who needs a realtor who totally knows the Austin market, is willing to spend time together to truly understand the needs as a buyer or a seller, and someone who steps in when needed to take care of the needs necessary to close on a home. Thank you Sharon!

My husband and I consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have crossed paths with Sharon Murray from Realty Austin. We made a life-changing decision to sell our Southern California home and relocate to the Austin Area. Before flying out and meeting Sharon in person, she wanted us to get a feel for the city. She overnighted a variety of informational materials about Austin and the surrounding areas. It was an excellent move to get us motivated. By the time we arrived for our tours, we were excited and ready to embark on the new adventure.

Sharon was incredibly intuitive regarding our wants and needs in a new home. She was sensitive to the fact that we have an elementary age child and set up several appointments at local schools in the area. She shared with us an abundance of information regarding the recreational areas, eateries shopping and so much more. Needless to say; we were hooked! Sharon had an entire weekend worth of homes earmarked for us to tour, and as luck would have it, after several neighborhoods and communities, we found our “dream home.” Her patience and knowledge of the area were comforting and reassuring. After all, this was a HUGE change, and Sharon made us feel safe. I would definitely consider her a “neighborhood specialist.”

From the initial offer through negotiations, Sharon was a true advocate for our desires. Her vendor referrals from home and termite inspection to lenders, to home warranty, were spot-on. We spent the entire escrow process in our California home. Any items that required our attention, Sharon made sure to handle. We shared the “final walk-through” with her via Facetime, and even after closing, she was kind enough to check on some concerns of ours during her off-time.

Sharon Murray is an absolute gem. We are so thankful to have found an agent that has made our experience pleasant and peaceful. We won the Realtor lottery!!!

Sharon has been very pleasant to work with through our home buying process. My husband and I are first time buyers and she took the time to walk us through every step of the way. She listened to exactly what we were looking for in our first home and spent weeks helping us hunt it down. When it came to the offer and negotiations process, she made sure we were well taken care of on our end. She is very knowledgeable in the industry and linked us up to some great lending contacts as well. We couldn't be more happy with the choice we made by using her and we will definitely continue to use her for any of our future real estate needs.

Sharon was absolutely fantastic start to finish! She was encouraging without being the least bit pushy; she was very accessible throughout the process; she was well informed and when she couldn’t answer a question she was extraordinarily quick to find us the answer. I felt like instead of just wanting to sell us a house, Sharon genuinely had our best interest as her top priority. She was patient throughout the process and the end result was just fantastic!

Sharon helped me buy my first house, and it was an incredibly seamless and professional experience. From our first meeting she listened, understood my goals and constraints, and was easy to work with to schedule tours and chat on nights and weekends about next steps. As a first-time buyer, she made the contract process easy to navigate, knew great local resources to help with the needs that came up along the way, and checked in every week to ensure I had the information I needed. Closing went smoothly and I'd recommend Sharon in a heartbeat to friends or folks considering a move to Austin. I don't plan to use anyone else.

Sharon was amazing - so warm and helpful. She was a pleasure to work with. She was super flexible and accommodated my many requests to view the condo. She also had extensive knowledge of the housing market and had great furnishing and decorating recommendations. I'd recommend her to any friends who are in the market for housing.

I engaged Sharon to purchase a home and I grade her performance an A+ and here is why: I relocated back to Austin from working overseas and all 7 of the other family members were crammed into a small 2 bedroom apartment so I was in a big hurry. As I have spent many years working overseas on heavy overtime in developing countries, I also wanted a very nice place to live that I would be proud to call my home.

Day 1 - We spent 10 straight hours looking at houses.

Day 2 - We spent 8 straight hours looking at houses, then had a strategy conference in her office and selected my first choice to put an offer on a home. Sharon then called the listing agent and advised the particulars of the offer we would be submitting that night. Sharon then wrote the offer and sent it out at 11pm.

Day 3 - Counteroffer, counter counteroffer, and acceptance: Signed purchase contract 1:30pm. General and termite inspection arranged for day 4.

Day 4 - General and termite inspections performed with attendance by Sharon and I. I was impressed with the inspectors Sharon recommended. Inspection reports received 8pm. I reviewed and communicated my comments on the report and then Sharon reviewed my comments and we came to an agreement on what repairs we would request from the seller.

Day 5 - Early morning contract amendment sent to sellers agent to incorporate repairs. Afternoon negotiations and amendment signed in the evening (well ahead of the post-inspection deadline to terminate the contract at buyers option.

Remaining days thru close - Same level of support including coordination and attendance with my lender, title company, surveyors, sellers agents, home owners insurance.

Post closing: I was stuck in North Austin with furniture movers when Best Buy delivered a TV and Sharon zoomed over to my house and accepted the delivery on my behalf. Sharon also wrote a sublease to my sister-in-law at my new house (which is legit) so that my niece and nephew have the backup they need to establish residency for Lakeway ISD school enrollment. As a customer, I believe that the purchase of a home is a huge investment and worth doing right including doing all the research and homework needed. As a professional, I have worked on large scale commercial projects in Contracts Management, Planning, and Project Planning for over 25 years. Because of my work background, I treated my home purchase as a project. I have participated in projects with all types of results (from very successful to very substandard). In my experience, projects with a high prevalence of "A" team level people are the projects which succeed. Sharon is definitely "A" team. If you have read this long review, you may think I write a lot of reviews. I am 50 years old and I have written less than 5 reviews in my 50 years.

I am not a frequent participant in the real estate market and I would say a true neophyte. This made me quite vulnerable and fearful. I was truly blessed to have Sharon Murray as my Realtor. Her integrity is amazing. She goes the distance for her clients. I am a therapist and pretty intuitive; with that said, what I know about Sharon is that she truly cares about her clients, not just "the sale." She became my friend and confidant. I knew it helped her understand the sadness I felt as she sold my childhood home. What she may not know is how much her personality and open-heartedness saved me. She honored my feeling every step of the way. This is rare in all people and super rare in this kind of business.

She was willing to drive all over Austin, any time of day to meet with me. She would return calls all hours of the day, if that fit my schedule. I could go on and on. What I know is that if ever I needed the real estate agent, she is the only one I would choose. She is an asset to Realty Austin. I hope that your organization understands what a treasure you have in Sharon Murray.

I don't think there are enough words to describe how amazing Sharon is and how instrumental she was in our home closing. As first time home buyers we didn't know a lot and even worse we didn't know what we didn't know but Sharon was there every step of the way going above and beyond.

She came to design center meetings to help us, contract meetings to make sure we didn't agree to something that wasn't market, and when the builder went silent on us for over a month she went every week to take photos of the house progress to send to us while we were away.

Sharon was better than we could have ever hoped for and we will never use anybody but her for any/all sales as long as we are in Austin. We have already recommended Sharon to our friends - one of which just closed on a house with her back in May in our same community - and they were blown away with how amazing Sharon was as well (and this was not their first home buying experience).

Sharon made both my life and my wife's life so much less stressful while going through a lot of major life milestones (buying our first home, getting married, etc.) and we are incredibly grateful for that. She was not afraid to share her opinion as she knew we wanted it or, when we asked her for it, to be the "bad guy" on our behalf. We could continue on and on but for everyone's sake we will cut it short. Thank you for everything.

Sharon Murray recently handled our real estate needs to purchase a home in Austin. She is the most professional, thorough agent we have ever worked with!! When we first spoke, Sharon asked relevant questions, to understand our needs. Every SINGLE house she took us to was in the vicinity to what we were looking for. Once we settled on a home, during the rest of the process, Sharon was on top of everything and nothing slipped through the cracks. She was professional, diligent, organized and didn't mind being stern, with the builder, when necessary. We were so thrilled with Sharon's work, we introduced her to our daughter, who is buying her first home through Sharon! Obviously, I am a fan!

I have purchased many houses. I have never found an agent that is so understanding and honest like Sharon. In fact, I trusted her so much that the last three houses I purchased she was my agent. She is outstanding, has great attention to detail, and made sure I got the best deal out there.

I'm planning to purchase more houses in the future and she is the only agent I can trust and depend on for my real-estate needs. I can't ask for a better agent.

Sharon was a joy to work with! This was my first purchase and she made the process so easy. Sharon is very knowledgeable in both the practical considerations in buying a home as well as the technical construction details; I had absolute trust in her when looking at properties. I always felt that she was looking out for my best interest. She asked questions about and fought for things that I didn't even know to consider. We had to deal with an appraiser that didn't show up, a delay with a water tap, and some other things that pushed my closing back a bit. If it wasn't for Sharon I would have been frustrated, but she was on top of things before I even had to ask and really made it a great experience. Sharon was great about communicating and setting expectations. Sharon allowed me, a first time buyer, to feel confident and excited during the whole process.

We are in our mid sixties and during our working careers we have gone through the relocation process several times. We have dealt with many realtors and Sharon was by far the best realtor we have ever been in association with. She is a great communicator, she is caring, she is looking out for her clients best interest, and she is a very knowledgeable realtor so we felt comfortable that she was thorough with our contracts and other related issues. To sum it up, she is a professional and a pleasure to work with. We would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a real estate agent in this area and if we were to need a realtor again we would not hesitate to enlist Sharon as our realtor, buying or selling. She definitely exceeded our expectations.

Sharon showed us homes in the Austin area when we were going to be moving to Austin. As it turned out we did not move there, so we didn't actually go through the negotiation process with her, but she was excellent, responsive and professional during our time with her. I would highly recommend Sharon to you for your Real Estate needs.

Deborah B.

My family has contracted with Sharon Murray to buy two homes in the Georgetown area. She was amazing! We would not consider using anyone else. She is very knowledgeable about available properties, is patient and kind when asked to show MANY of them! Her knowledge of the whole process is unmatched and her attention to detail borders on perfection! I would recommend that you call Sharon for all your house/property buying needs. You won't find a more professional realtor.

Bobbi G.

Outstanding Agent. Sharon was prompt at answering questions thoroughly and would constantly keep us updated, even if there wasn't anything new to discuss just so we knew we were not forgotten about. We had a few bumps, almost roadblocks, in the road to buying our new home; however, she was very knowledgeable and did everything in her power to seal the deal for us! She is really down to Earth and makes you feel completely at ease. I do feel 100% confident in recommending her to anyone!

C.G.

Sharon is awesome! She listed our house for us and went to bat as far as negotiating the sale of our home. We even sold our house for a bit more than we were expecting and it was all because Sharon knew exactly what she was doing and what the fair market value for our home was. She was very prompt in coordinating all the paperwork and returned every phone call I made to her. I would highly recommend Sharon and will work with her in the future! She is great!

Lauren P.

Sharon is very professional and her attention to detail in a timely manner is one of her many strengths. I highly recommend Sharon for any of your Real Estate needs.

David P.

When we decided to move to Austin, we were at a loss as to where to begin to look for a house. We were very fortunate to contact Sharon. Her professionalism and expertise were invaluable as we were new to the area and needed guidance in choosing a neighborhood, assessing the value of the home, etc. Sharon was sensitive to our needs, helped us locate a beautiful neighborhood, and I found her local knowledge and expertise to be incredible. We were out-of-state buyers and that required more than just the typical realtor. Sharon was there for us during the process and went far beyond any of my expectations in helping us with the negotiations, inspections, and closing. Unfortunately, we have had to sell our home and return to Arizona. But fortunately for us Sharon was able to help us sell our home while we were out-of-state and once again handled all the negotiations, inspections, etc. without us having to return to Texas. We would highly recommend Sharon to anyone looking to purchase in the Austin area.

Don W.

Sharon knows the Austin and surrounding real estate market very well. The background information on schools, services, shopping and growth patterns for the respective areas she showed us gave us the information needed to purchase wisely. She listens to what her clients are looking for and delivers.

What's My Home Worth?

No computer algorithm can accurately determine the price a home will sell for. By providing an address below, I will instantly show you what similar homes are selling for in your area and give you three automated price ranges for the address entered.

This represents an estimated sale price for this property. It is not the same as the opinion of value in an appraisal developed by a licensed appraiser under the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
