The “American Dream” of home ownership is alive and well and Scott Pate is proud to be a part of helping others achieve their desire for stability and a place to call their own. As an Austin Realtor, Scott helps individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds buy and sell the Texas houses that will become a part of their dreams - either as a family home or a vital ingredient in their financial well-being.
A combat veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Scott believes in the American Dream. But for him, it's not simply an abstract thought that comes and goes during times of nostalgia. In the past, he's played a part in what is required to keep the dream alive and safe along the front lines of reality. Today, his role has come full circle.
His experience in the military and the natural bond of brotherhood that he feels with all veterans has led him to place significant emphasis on helping returning veterans secure a home of their own and transition effectively to civilian life. Scott knows it's important for veterans, their families, and the country as a whole.
"I want to give back to those that have given so much to me and to us all. I feel civilians need to take on a larger role in transitioning military members back into society and I want to be a part of that solution," he says.
His role in that mission is to help veterans fully understand their available benefits and secure Veterans Administration loans in Austin. These VA home mortgage loans in Texas are one of the many ways in which the federal government and all Americans say “thank you” to those who have served.
Scott holds a unique understanding of the VA Loan process and how to structure deals that can save his clients time, effort and money. Additionally, he's ideally experienced in helping military members – past or present – with their real estate needs, be it first time home ownership or career relocation. He considers it a natural extension of his philosophy of service – and the military bond – to help returning, relocating, or retired veterans in any way he can.
In addition to his work in real estate, he is committed to serving as a volunteer for the Austin VA Outpatient Clinic and founded the non-profit organization “Bringing Blumen”, which brings gently used flowers from weddings and distributes to the VA hospital and other associations. In his spare time, enjoying motorcycle rides and catching live music shows are two of Scott's favorite parts of Austin's young, vibrant atmosphere and great outdoors.
Scott was our realtor for the purchase of our first condo. He made everything very easy and was available for questions either by phone or text. Since this was our first time buying a home, we had a ton of questions. Scott and his team were very patient and willing to answer all of our questions in detail. Scott recommended his mortgage broker, Sarah, and she was wonderful to work with as well. Everything from the purchase, to the closing, went smoothly. We are happily enjoying our new home! If I were to purchase or sell, I would definitely work with this team again.
