Randy Bailey


Randy was born and raised in Oklahoma. After getting married in 1979, he and his wife moved to Lubbock, Texas and have been in Texas ever since. His background is in the clothing industry, where he spent many years on the wholesale side with major clothing manufacturers. He was the Director of Military Affairs for Haggar Clothing Company for 21 years and the Executive Director of Military Affairs with Dickies for 10 years. In his spare time, he invested in real estate in rental properties and investment properties. He jumped into real estate entirely in 2013 and has loved working with and being an asset to his sellers and buyers. He has experience in both residential and farm and ranch properties including hunting ranches.

Randy and his wife have two children and one grandchild all living in the Austin area. His wife is involved with Red Arena, a charity that works with disabled adults and children using horse therapy. They have 4 horses (1 rescue) and 2 dogs (1 rescue) of their own that run the household. Randy is an avid motorcycle rider as well. He enjoys riding the hill country and discovering its many treasures.

After seeing a lot of shady practices by Realtors, we knew that integrity was our highest priority. We asked friends who grew up in Dripping Springs whose character they trusted, and one name came back: Randy Bailey at Realty Austin. In addition to his solid integrity, Randy returned calls and texts promptly, made time to show us properties at our convenience, listened to us and never rushed us. He's easy to get along with, knows a ton, and I always felt like he was on our side. I hope I'll never have to move again, but if I do, I'll call Randy. You should, too!

Randy Bailey was very professional and provided great customer service. My wife and I began searching the Internet for a home to buy for our retirement years. We both had ideas but saw that the requirements were meeting our budget. Randy stepped in and began by helping us see the merits of homes that we might have missed. He was available to us whenever we needed him. We planned trips around several homes we saw online and wanted to visit. Randy helped us "weed" out many that were in undesirable areas leaving us with homes that better suited us. After some trips, we finally found a home. The next six weeks or so were crazy due mostly to the unreal expectations of the seller on how quickly a closing can be achieved. Randy's positive attitude and professionalism in dealing with us and then the seller's agent proved just what was needed to get us to the closing. We would recommend Randy Bailey to anyone looking for a hardworking, honest, real estate agent.

First and foremost, Mr. Bailey is a gentleman and in every aspect of dealing with a very complicated sale, he was courteous, kind and professional. Randy Bailey is probably one of the best realtors I have ever worked with. My husband and I were selling our ranch house with a portion of our land in an area that is known for farming and ranching. When most realtors would have given up and walked away, Randy was by our side helping us market and advertise the house to get it sold. When we finally did get a contract on the house he was even out helping us correct “issues” found on the inspection report and helping to mow the several acre yard around the house.

Randy is not only an excellent realtor but he is also a marriage counselor and all around great person and I am happy to not only call him my realtor but also a very close friend. Today is our 1 year anniversary of a walk-in meeting with Randy in Dripping Springs. While it took us ~6 months to complete our search for a home in the Austin regional area, Randy remained in touch each week, informing us of the latest properties to come onto the market. That was a difficult task in that we were searching over a large area from Wimberley to Georgetown west of I-35 to the corridor of Hwy 281. Along the way, we continued to narrow down the specifics of what we thought we were searching for in a property. We thank him for being patient with us during that process.   

Initially, we focused on a price range that we wanted to stay within. He was honest with us about our expectations for finding a property for that price in the area that we had in mind. The properties that he sent our way to consider, varied from our initial target to the realistic target that we would eventually meet in order to complete our search and purchase for our new home.   

When we did find THE home we wanted to purchase, Randy had a great financial connection that provided the solution to make our home purchase within our circumstances. There was a team of folks ready to seize the moment and able to provide us the leverage that is required in a market that is lightning fast!  

As we were finalizing the purchase, he walked us through our options and helped us find competent connections to complete the process. His knowledge of the service people and business owners was on target and of great value. He made the process of doing these things very easy as we lived 400 miles away and did not know who to contact and trust for these services. These folks were spot on for what we needed.   

The closing of the property purchase was seamless. It went quickly and efficiently without a hitch. His connection and communication with the financial group and title services had us well prepared to do so. We are thankful that he has stayed in touch with us over the past 6 months to ensure that everything is going well since the purchase and we appreciate his hospitality.   

Our experience with Randy makes it easy to recommend others to contact him for their property needs whether they are selling or purchasing. He will represent and serve them well. I expect they will find a lasting relationship that they will be thankful for.
