Rolling Hills West residents love the neighborhood because of its close proximity to Westlake High School, Cedar Creek Elementary, and Hill Country Middle School. Children can walk to all three schools. It is also very close to shopping and has easy access to Capital of Texas Highway and downtown.What are some the negatives of living there?
The only negative is that the houses are on Septic systems.What are the public schools like?
The Eanes ISD system is one of the best in the country. Most people move into this neighborhood for the schools.How close are the schools?

There are several pre-school choices in the area. Westlake Hills Presbyterian Preschool, Butterfly Christian Preschool, Child's Day Preschool, and Elsass Academy are all excellent pre-schools.What kind of amenities are offered?
The high school practice fields are available when they are not in use by the school, and Rolling Hills West is about 5 minutes from Zilker Park and the Barton Creek Greenbelt.Where do people go out to eat?
There are several restaurants in the Bee Cave Woods shopping center, including Chinese, Mexican, and Indian restaurants, as well as several fast food places. The Mira Vista shopping center on Bee Caves Rd. has a Panera Bread that is very popular, and there are other restaurants in that shopping center as well. Barton Creek Mall has several restaurants, and Rolling Hills West is close to downtown and all that it has to offer.Where do people shop for groceries?
The Randalls and HEB are about equal distance from the neighborhood. Depending on your taste, you can shop at either one in about the same time.Where do people workout?
Some residents are members of The Hills Fitness Center and there are some that go to Gold's Gym on William Cannon or Lifetime Fitness on William Cannon and South MoPac.What kind of organized sports are offered?
West Lake Hills offers many kinds of organized sports for kids. WAYA is an organization that offers everything from little league baseball to girls basketball. Most of the organized sports have sign up opportunities at all the schools.What is the traffic like when commuting to downtown?
The commute to downtown from this neighborhood is about 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the traffic.How long does it take to drive to the airport?
