Most of the homes in this area were built in the late 1970's.What is the average size of the homes?
Countryside homes are an average of 2,500 square feet.How long do homes stay on the market?
Lately, they are staying on the market a little longer than normal -- around 40 days.Why do residents choose to live?
People live here because it is a great neighborhood. It is close to Barton Creek Mall and has very easy access to downtown and MoPac. Plus, it is in the Eanes school district, and kids can walk to school up through middle school.What are some the negatives of living there?
The houses are smaller and older, but some have been updated!What are the public schools like?
The schools are wonderful. The acclaimed Eanes ISD is probably the best school district in town.How close are the schools?
Schools are within one to two blocks.Are there any private schools nearby?
There are some private schools in the Westlake area.Are there any pre-schools nearby?
There are several pre-schools in this area, including Westlake Hills Presbyterian Preschool, Butterfly Christian Preschool, Child's Day Preschool, & Elsass Academy.What kind of amenities are offered?
Countryside is close to the Barton Creek Greenbelt and just minutes from Zilker Park.What are the most sought after streets in Countryside?
Thousand Oaks Drive has always been a wonderful street to live on. Mistywood is also a beautiful street.Where do people go out to eat?
Rudy's Bar-B-Q is just down the road, and there are places to eat in the Bee Cave Woods shopping center and at Barton Creek Mall. Plus, with such great access to MoPac, you can go anywhere pretty quickly.Where do people shop for groceries?
Most people shop at Randalls at the corner of Walsh Tarlton and Bee Caves Road.Where do people workout?
There are several gyms just 10 to 15 minutes away. Many residents go to The Hills, Gold's Gym, 24-Hour Fitness, or Lifetime Fitness.What kind of organized sports are offered?
West Austin Youth is very organized and offers all kinds of opportuities for kids. The Pop Warner Football program is HUGE in this area. Plus, the school sports programs are known for their excellence.What is the traffic like when commuting to downtown?
Most people miss a lot of the worst traffic to go downtown because you only have to be on MoPac for one exit.How long does it take to commute downtown?
Probably 15 minutes.How long does it take to drive to the airport?
It's about 20 minutes to the airport.What makes you an expert on Countryside?
