Where exactly is Bee Cave Woods located? Bee Cave
Woods is located just east of Walsh Tarlton and west of MoPac. It is
south of Bee Caves Road and north of Capital of Texas Hwy.
What is the average price of the homes? The average price of homes in Bee Cave Woods is about $450,000 to $550,000.
What is the average age of the homes? Most homes in the area were built around 1982; however, many of them have been updated.
What is the average size of the homes? The average size of the homes is around 2,400 square feet.
How long do homes stay on the market? Homes tend to stay on the market about 60 days, however, it just depends on the house.
Why do residents choose to live there?
This is a great area because it is close to all the schools. In fact,
many children walk or ride their bikes to school. It's also close to
shopping, downtown, and Zilker Park. You will really spend less time in
your car if you live in Bee Cave Woods. Many people stay in their homes
for years after their children leave, because it is just so convenient.
What are some the negatives of living there? The homes are a little smaller and some need updating, but many of them have already been updated.
What are the public schools like?
The Eanes school district is one of the best in the nation! Bee Cave
Woods is a great neighborhood to get into the school district, because
the prices are more affordable that other areas of Eanes ISD.
How close are the schools?
This is one of the best parts of living in Bee Cave Woods. So many
people walk their kids to school, and all of the schools are within 5
minutes total time in the car.
Are there any private schools nearby? There are several private schools just minutes away, including Trinity School, Regents, and St. Andrews.
Are there any pre-schools nearby?
The pre-schools close by are Westlake Hills Presbyterian Preschool,
Butterfly Christian Preschool, Child's Day Preschool, and Elsass
Academy.
What kind of amenities are offered? There are no parks in Bee Cave Woods, because we are so close to Zilker Park and the Barton Creek Greenbelt.
Are there any organized community groups or community activities? The Bee Cave Woods homeowners association is active and meets regularly.
What are the most sought after streets?
All the streets are great in this area. Wilderness Trail, Eanes Circle,
Eaneswood, and Honeysuckle are wonderful, quiet streets that are in the
middle of an urban setting.
Where do people go out to eat?
There are several restaurants in the Bee Cave Woods shopping center.
You can find Chinese, Mexican, and Indian food, as well as several Fast
food places to eat. Barton Creek Mall is also very close by, with a
California Pizza Kitchen and other food court options. Rudy's Bar-B-Q
on Capital of TX Hwy is popular, and again, you are minutes from
downtown and all that it has to offer.
Where do people shop for groceries? Randall's is the closest grocery store, but we are also near the new HEB.
Where do people workout?
The Hills Fitness Center is on Bee Caves Road, but some people have
joined the new Lifetime Fitness on South MoPac at William Cannon Drive.
What kind of organized sports are offered?
Westlake Hills offer so many organized sports! From little league
baseball, lacrosse, and Pop Warner football, to volleyball and girls
softball, we probably have anything you're interested in.
What is the traffic like when commuting to downtown? This is the best part. Your commute is about 10 minutes to downtown -- even during rush hour!
How long does it take to commute downtown? It takes about 10 minutes.
How long does it take to drive to the airport? You can drive to the airport in about 15 to 20 minutes.
What makes you an expert in Bee Cave Woods?
I've lived right next to Bee Cave Woods for over 10 years, and I really
don't ever want to leave! People walk their dogs and run in this
neighborhood -- it is really a wonderful place to live.
