Swimming and tennis are some of the available activities in Travis Country. The nearby Oak Hill Youth Sports Association also has a very competitive baseball organization. Travis Country has very close and easy access to Loop 1 North, which can take you downtown in a matter of minutes. On weekdays, morning and late-afternoon rush hour traffic is heavy on Loop 1, but it's only for a few miles, because Travis Country is so close to town.

From Travis Country, it’s about a 5 to 10-minute commute to downtown in light traffic, and about 20 minutes in heavier traffic.

It only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to drive to the airport from Travis Country.
