Inner Space Caverns
Explore Inner Space Caverns, Georgetown’s limestone cavern tucked away in the Hill Country. Discovered in 1963 during the construction of Interstate 35, the caves have a rich history, making them a true Texas treasure. Inner Space Cavern is estimated to be 100 million years old and has been the discovery site of skeletons that date back to the Ice Age!
Full of fascinating natural formations, Inner Space Cavern features helictites, ancient flow stones, and giant columns. Visitors can learn about the cave’s history during one of Inner Space Cavern’s daily guided tours. For more adventurous types, there is also a guided spelunking tour, where visitors can explore the 1.2 miles of cave. Admission discounts are available for military and AAA members. Inner Space Cavern is located off IH-35 at exit 259.
