Barton Springs pool, located in South Austin at Zilker Park has been a favorite spot for Austin swimmers and sunbathers for many years. Barton Springs is a natural, spring fed pool that remains 68 degrees year round, making it a perfect cool down spot during the summer. The pool is open year round however, so it is not uncommon to see Austinites swimming laps during the colder months.

Barton Springs pool attracts a diverse crowd of visitors from avid swimmers to college students and families. The pool is framed by grass-covered hills and shady oak trees. Visitors enjoy tossing frisbees, reading, people-watching, and sunbathing between dips in the pool. For adventurous types, the pool features a wooden diving board where people of all ages gather to show off their dives skills.

Barton Springs Pool has bathrooms, changing rooms with showers, and a snack bar located on the premises. The pool is also conveniently located within walking distance of many Barton Springs road restaurants and watering holes.

The pool is open year-round from 5am-10pm Friday through Wednesday. Admission fees range from $1-$3. Season passes are also available.
