Steiner Ranch Schools
Students in Steiner Ranch are served by the acclaimed Leander Independent School District. The 19 LISD elementary campuses serve more than 14,000 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, and nine secondary campuses serve approximately 12,600 students.
Steiner Ranch has two first-rate elementary schools within the community; Steiner Ranch Elementary and Laura Welch Bush Elementary. There is also a new middle school, Canyon Ridge Middle School. All three schools received 2006 School Accountability Ratings of Exemplary from the Texas Education Agency.
High school students attend Leander High School, which is accredited by the Texas Education Agency as a public school and includes grades 9-12 with a total enrollment of slightly more than 2,000 students. Leander High School is an International Baccalaureate school, offering students a challenging college-level curriculum that prepares them for university. The school also offers a variety of sports and extracurricular activities, including service organizations, clubs, and career groups.
