Lake Austin Restaurants
The tropical-themed Hula Hut is a popular Lake Austin restaurant, featuring a mix of Mexican, Polynesian, and American food. Residents enjoy the Hula Hut's funky décor as well as its two bars and an outdoor dining area that overlooks the lake.

Ski Shores Waterfront Café has been a favorite Lake Austin restaurant for more than 50 years. Although it can be a challenge find by car, the casual spot is easily accessible by boat and offers a variety of burgers, sandwiches, beer, and wine.
Many Lake Austin residents also love County Line on the Lake for savory Texas BBQ. While the original County Line was founded in an old "speak easy" at the nearby intersection of 2222 and 360, the restaurant also offers a location right on Bull Creek off Lake Austin.

For coffee and dessert, many Lake Austin residents enjoy Mozart's Coffee Roasters and Bakery on Lake Austin Boulevard. In addition to freshly made coffees, cakes, tiramisu, cookies, and pies, the shop has a 350-seat outdoor deck overlooking Lake Austin and offers live music on Thursday through Sunday.

Like most Austinites, Lake Austin residents enjoy the great outdoors. There are a variety of parks in the area, including Mount Bonnell Park between Lake Austin and 2222. The highest point within Austin city limits, Mount Bonnell is a great picnic spot overlooking the lake.

On City Park Road off RR 2222, Lake Austin residents can enjoy a variety of sports and activities at Emma Long Park. The park offers two boat ramps, two sand volleyball courts, a designated swimming area in Lake Austin, a large sandy beach, and numerous camping areas.

Relax and Play Golf near Lake Austin
If floating on the lake is not relaxing enough, Lake Austin residents can always visit the Lake Austin Spa Resort on South Quinlan Park Road near Steiner Ranch. Lake Austin residents can join the Austin Country Club off 360 and West Lake Drive. The private club offers an 18-hole golf course, as well as 10 lighted tennis courts, a pool, and clubhouse. Other private courses near Lake Austin include River Place Golf Course, off River Place Boulevard from RR 2222 and the University of Texas Golf Club in Steiner Ranch.
Residents and visitors looking for a public golf course near Lake Austin can also visit the Lions Municipal Golf Course on Enfield Road near Lake Austin Boulevard.
