What is the average age of the homes?

The average age of a home in Vineyard Bay is 10 to 12 years, with many new homes being built over the last few years and many of the more mature homes being updated during the same period.

What is the average size of the homes?

The home sizes in Vineyard Bay range from approximately 3,500 to 7,000 square feet, with the average right around 4,500 square feet.

How long do homes stay on the market?

The average time on the market for most of these custom homes is approximately 6 to 12 months, which is common for this caliber of home.

Why do residents choose to live in Vineyard Bay?

People choose to live in Vineyard Bay mostly due to the exclusive lifestyle the community offers, including direct access to Lake Travis and many homes with their own private boat docks. The only negative that might come with living in Vineyard Bay is that the community is a little more mature, so a lot of the homes do not have the newer Tuscan or Craftsman appeal that has become popular over the past couple of years.

Lake Travis Elementary and Hudson Bend Middle school are within a short walk; however, they are across RR 620, so a 2-minute drive will probably be more appropriate. Lake Travis High school is within a 7-minute drive.

There are exceptional private pre-schools in the neighborhood, and private schools for higher grades are located within a 15-minute drive from the Vineyard Bay community.

Lakeway Church Christian Preschool and Lake Travis United Methodist are very popular, and there are a number of other excellent pre-schools and childcare options available throughout the area.

There are many dining options near Vineyard Bay, such as Ciola's (Italian), Carlos & Charlie's (Mexican), Hudson's on the Bend (game is their specialty), Little Woodrow's and Zingers (sports bars), Mizu (sushi), and much more.

The commute to downtown is approximately 20 minutes. It' s actually much shorter than it seems; we just need to go around the lakes to get there.

How long does it take to drive to the airport?

The airport is approximately 35 minutes from Vineyard Bay.
