What are the public schools like? Students in Flintrock Falls attend Lakeway Elementary, Lake Travis Middle School, and Lake Travis High School. In 2007, the elementary and middle schools were rated Exemplary by the Texas Education Agency, and the high school was rated Academically Acceptable.

How close are the schools? The schools are very close to Flintrock Falls. The high school and middle school are about a quarter-mile away on Highway 620, and the elementary school is in Lakeway.

Are there any private schools nearby? There are no private schools in the immediate area, but many people don’t mind the drive to St. Andrew's or St. Stephen's, and there might be a carpool to join.

Are there any pre-schools nearby? There are several pre-schools in the area, and a few are new. The Lakeway church at Lohman’s Crossing and Lakeway Blvd. has a popular one, as does the Lake Travis United Methodist Church on 620, near Debba Street.

What kind of amenities are offered? Flintrock Falls is a gated community. The country club has a restaurant, workout facility, and golf course. There are more amenities available to residents who decide to upgrade their club membership. The World of Tennis is nearby and has 16 lighted courts and two indoor courts. The Lakeway area has many greenbelts with hike and bike trails, as well as parks and beautiful lake access for swimming. There are several marinas in the area, where residents can dock a boat or join a boat club. The Lakeway pool is a fantastic saltwater pool for kids, with a frog slide and a gradual, "beach style" entrance. Teenagers can also enjoy its two huge, winding tube slides and new attached skate park. For more serious swimmers, there is also a lap pool and a local swim team, the Lakeway Lakers.

Are there any organized community groups or community activities? Lakeway has an activity center that offers classes ranging from oil painting to yoga. They also have a community theater group. The city park in Lakeway has fun runs, Fourth of July celebrations, and Movie in the Park nights during the summer. There are featured speakers and brown-bag lunches where residents can hear visiting musicians.

What are the most sought after streets in Flintrock Falls? Depending on whether you want a garden home, a home on the golf course, or a more secluded lot with trees in the back, Flintrock has many different streets to favor.

Where do people go out to eat nearby? We have more and more excellent dining choices all the time. The all-time favorites are not far at all. We have Hudson’s on the Bend and the Oasis, which has huge decks overlooking the cliffs on Lake Travis. We also have a wonderful sushi bar called Misu, great Thai food at Thai Spice, and good Italian at Rocco's and Ciola's. There are more choices at Hill Country Galleria, including Fish City Grill, Iron Cactus and Panera Bread (both coming soon), and across the street is Little Woodrow's.

Where do people shop for groceries? The newly remodeled Randall's is just across 620, and not much farther is HEB, which is quite popular as well.

Where else do people shop in the area? The beautiful new Hill Country Galleria has just opened, offering a movie theater, Dillard's, Barnes & Noble, Fabrik, Eddie Bauer, Vans, Chico's, Limited Too, American Eagle, and many more stores. Across Highway 71 are The Shops at the Galleria, with Best Buy, Lowe's, Marshall's, Michael's, Petsmart, World Market, and some great individually owned restaurants and shops, such as Smarty Pants and an excellent Thai place.

Where do people workout? We have several workout choices: The Hills of Lakeway, Body Wise, and Gold's Gym are just a few of them.

What kind of organized sports are offered? Lake Travis Youth Association is a non-profit organization that offers 12 leagues of sports. The beautiful facility, Field of Dreams, is located off 620.

What is the traffic like when commuting to downtown? If you leave before 8:00 AM, you can make it through Lakeway with little to no traffic. After 8:00 AM, you fight high school traffic, which can take awhile to get through but clears up after the high school.

How long does it take to commute downtown ? With no traffic, you can make it downtown in 25 minutes.

How long does it take to drive to the airport? It is an easy drive and only takes about 35 minutes.
