The students of Lake Travis are served by the Lake Travis Independent School District. Lake Travis ISD was formed in 1981 as an offshoot of the Dripping Springs Independent School District and currently serves over 7,000 students just outside Austin, TX. The district is rated Exemplary by the Texas Education Agency and is also well known for the successful football program of the Lake Travis High School who have won 5 consecutive state championships.
