What is the traffic like when commuting to downtown
Georgetown?
Like all areas, drive times during rush hours can be heavy. Since Sun
City is an adult community with many retired residents, trips to the
downtown area are usually planned ahead to avoid peak traffic times.
Sun City is just a quick 6-mile drive to downtown Georgetown.
How long does it take to drive to the airport from Sun
City Texas?
Since most commercial flights will depart from Austin Bergstrom
International Airport, the toll roads provide the most direct routes.
The drive takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
Is it possible to try out the lifestyle before making a
final decision?
It is possible to rent homes in the neighborhood for short periods of
time to determine if this is the right fit for you. A limited number of
rental homes are available for periods ranging from 1 month to 3
months. Some are furnished and others are not. Since there are a
limited number available, you will need some flexibility on your visit.
