The Forest Oaks neighborhood is located east of the new 183A Toll Road, off Brushy Creek Rd in Cedar Park. Students in the Forest Oaks neighborhood in Cedar Park are fortunate to attend schools in the Leander Independent School District. One of the fastest-growing school districts in Texas, with over 35,000 students on almost 40 campuses encompassing nearly 200 square miles, Leander ISD is strongly committed to constantly improving student learning and maintains several special programs to help prepare students for college and beyond, including a college connection program with Austin Community College. One of several resources available is the Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting innovation, enrichment, and equality in pursuit of scholastic excellence.

Cedar Park Montessori, Summit Christian Academy, and Twin Lakes Christian School are three of the private schools in the area, along with the Children’s Courtyard, Primrose School, and the Goddard School preschools.
Forest Oaks in Cedar Park is made up of beautiful luxury homes with the most upscale appointments. Expect many homes to contain five bedrooms and three or more bathrooms in this established subdivision. Forest Oaks is conveniently located in between IH-35 and 183. It’s a very quick route to the downtown area and about 35 minutes. Here in Forest Oaks, construction started about five years ago. Price point for the community is probably about 175 to 350, and the square footage would range from 1,700 to about 3,500 square feet. So the big draw to this community are the schools, and you are in the LISD school district. The elementary is Cox. It’s ranked exemplary, and the middle school is Henry, which is also ranked exemplary, and the high school, which is recognized, and that’s Vista Ridge.

So this community has tons of things to do. It’s a very socially knitted community. There are tons of amenities, such as the two different playgrounds you can go to, hike and bikes that run throughout the community. And there’s a lovely clubhouse to have party and events and such. And there’s also a great pool to enjoy, which completely caters to young children.

I have lived in Forest Oaks for almost five years. It’s a very family friendly neighborhood and community. We also have a beautiful scenery, lots of beautiful trails. It’s a very active lifestyle here, and just a great place to raise a family.

We have block parties. There’s always something you can do where you can include your whole family. And I’m a shopper, so I love that 1890 Ranch has some great shops. It’s also close to Lakeline Mall. Lots of restaurants, great grocery store.

I would say the most unique thing about this community is the people. They have an e-mail loop group that allows everyone to stay connected. There’s a neighborhood watch program. They celebrate national night out every year, and all the children have really been able to get to know each other, and there seems to be a really nice synergy throughout the whole community, so it’s a great draw for anybody who is relocating from somewhere to feel right away at home.

Located just off Highway 183, Forest Oaks in Cedar Park is all about mobility. With a quick drive south, residents can enjoy all the features of the Austin area, perhaps stopping at the Domain or the Arboretum for a little shopping before heading to Downtown Austin either via Mopac Loop 1 or through Central Austin on Interstate 35. Residents can easily access Highway 45 as well to head into Round Rock, or travel west down RM 620 to where Lake Travis and Lake Austin meet at the Mansfield Dam. The nearby 1890 Ranch shopping center offers retail and dining options, while the Cedar Park Center presents world-class entertainment just minutes away.
