Silverado Ranch is located in Cedar Park, just north of Austin's Avery Ranch community. It is accessible from Vista Ridge Blvd., between Brushy Creek Road and RM 1431.What is the average price of the homes?
Silverado Ranch offers new homes from KB Home, with prices starting between $170,000 and $280,000. There are also a handful of resale homes available for an average price of about $219,422.What is the average age of the homes?
The homes in Silverado Ranch are all fairly new. Existing homes were built between 2005 and 2008, and there are still new homes under construction. Interested buyers can also choose to have new homes built-to-order on some of the remaining lots. What is the average size of the homes?
New homes are available from 1,585 to 4,094 square feet, and the average size of resale homes is 2,653.How long do homes stay on the market?
In 2008, resale homes stayed on the market for an average of 97 days. Why do residents choose to live in Silverado Ranch?
This community is always one of the top areas people ask me about in Cedar Park. It has the perfect location, right next to excellent schools. It also has great community amenities, oak-lined streets, and easy access to major roadways, and the homes are an incredible value for the price. What are some negatives of living there?
There aren't any real negatives about Silverado Ranch. If I had to come up with one, it would be that the neighborhood is still an active new home community, so there will be some construction traffic on streets that are being built out. What are the public schools like in Silverado Ranch?
Silverado Ranch is served by schools in the Leander Independent School District, which is one of the best around. Because the schools and the area are so desirable, there aren't a lot of resale homes on the market right now.How close are the schools?
Henry Middle School and Vista Ridge High School are literally just steps from the community, so most of the students in Silverado Ranch walk or ride bikes to school. Elementary students currently attend either Cox or Rutledge Elementary, but the new Reagan Elementary is under construction on East Park street, about a block from the edge of the community. Reagan won't quite be close enough for children to walk to school from Silverado Ranch, but parents could easily escort them on bikes or make the 2 or 3-minute drive to the school. No other communities are this close to all 3 schools. Are there any private schools nearby?
Some nearby private schools include Summit Christian Academy and Harbor Christian Academy in Cedar Park, and Holy Family Catholic School a few minutes away in Austin. St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School will open in Austin in Fall 2009, just a few minutes south of Silverado Ranch. Are there any pre-schools nearby?
Yes, there are a number of pre-schools nearby. Primrose School is about a block away, in the Whitestone Market shopping center at the corner of Vista Ridge and 1431. Rainbow Station is on Parmer, just south of the intersection with Colonial. Cedar Park Montessori is opening near the new 1890 Ranch Shopping Center. There are others not far away, including Cypress Creek Montessori, Children's Courtyard, Good Shepherd Lutheran, La Petite Academy, Twin Lakes Child Development Center, The Goddard School, and Sapientia Montessori. What kind of amenities are offered?
Silverado Ranch residents enjoy a variety of amenities. There's a community area with a 25-meter pool, toddler pool, and clubhouse. There's also a playscape, swings, and a picnic area. The community is surrounded by greenbelts and includes multiple landscaped areas where you'll often see people playing games or taking their dogs out to exercise. Are there any organized community groups or community activities?
Silverado residents get together for monthly bunco games, as well as periodic poker tournaments, walking and running groups, cooking clubs, and kids' play groups. There's an active Event Committee that organizes community activities for Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Halloween, Christmas, and other holidays. The neighborhood also has multiple online bulletin boards and community groups to help everyone stay in touch. With so much community involvement, it's really easy to get to know everyone and make new friends when you move in.What are the most sought after streets in Silverado Ranch?
There aren't any streets that are necessarily more sought after than others. Some people like being closer to the pool or playscape, while others like larger home sites or spots that are further away from the school or near a greenbelt. It really depends on what you're looking for.Where do people go out to eat?
Yaghi's and Austin's Pizza are both within walking distance from the community. Residents can also enjoy Z'Tejas or Hunan Ranch at the corner of Parmer Lane and Avery Ranch, or a number of restaurants at The 1890 Ranch and Railyard shopping centers, near the intersection of 1431 and 183A. There are also a number of coffee shops, sandwich shops, fast food chains, and other spots to get a quick bite within a mile or two in any direction.Where do people shop for groceries?
Most Silverado Ranch residents shop at HEB, a large grocery store in the Whitestone Market shopping center on 1431. It's close enough to walk to if needed, or just a minute or two away by car. There's also a SuperTarget just a few minutes west in the 1890 Ranch shopping center. If you're looking for Costco, there's one about 10 minutes away, near the intersection of 183 and 360 in Austin.Where do people workout?
In addition to walking or running in the surrounding community or along nearby Brushy Creek, many residents belong to one of the local gyms. Gold's Gym just opened a new location at the 1890 Ranch shopping center. Fitness 19 is just one street south of Brushy Creek, in the Avery Ranch Shopping Center. Cedar Park Family YMCA, 24-Hour Fitness, and Lifetime Fitness are all within 10 minutes of Silverado Ranch. What kind of organized sports are offered?

It takes about 25 minutes to get to ABIA from Silverado Ranch. What makes you an expert in Silverado Ranch?
I own a home in Silverado Ranch and have helped many family members and friends purchase homes in the community. I also worked for the builder for 3 years, so I have an insider's understanding of the construction, sales, and customer service processes, which I can use to help buyers ensure they're getting the best quality and value on their home. If you're looking to purchase an existing home or build your own at Silverado Ranch, I'm happy to share my knowledge and help you find just the right home.
