Why do residents choose to live in Forest Creek?
Residents of Forest Creek are very proud of their award-winning golf
course, designed by Dick Phelps. Named the "Best Public Golf Course in
Central Texas" by Golf Digest, Forest Creek offers some of the most
fabulous golf in the Texas Hill Country. In addition, this exclusive
community is located in Round Rock, just north of Austin, which is one
of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the nation. The area
offers unbeatable amenities, including access to highly acclaimed
schools, and proximity to an increasing number of shopping and dining
venues such as IKEA, JCPenney, and numerous shops and cafes.
What are some the negatives of living in Forest Creek?
Residents will have to choose between an afternoon spent playing golf
on a course filled with manicured fairways, pristine greens, and an
abundance of blossoming foliage, or an afternoon spent enjoying the
many stores Round Rock has to offer!
What are the public schools like in Forest Creek?
Forest Creek is located in the highly acclaimed Round Rock Independent
School District, widely considered to be one of the best school
districts in Central Texas. In keeping with the district's dedication
to the idea of neighborhood schools, the community has its own on-site
elementary school, Forest Creek Elementary School. In addition,
students in Forest Creek can attend Blackland Elementary School,
Ridgeview Middle School, and Stony Point High School. A new high school
is being built approximately 10 minutes away and should open in the
fall of 2009.
Are there any private schools near Forest Creek?
There are many schools within a 30-minute commute, including St.
Helen’s Catholic school in Georgetown (Pre-K through 7), Grace Academy
of Georgetown (K through 12), St. Mary’s Catholic School in Taylor
(Pre-K through 8), Round Rock Christian Academy (Pre-K through 12), and
Applegate SDA of Round Rock (Pre-K through 8). With the new tollway 45

Catholic School and other private schools in that area.

playscape, an open field for various activities, a Jr. Olympic swimming
pool with baby pool, and 2 tennis courts that have lighting for play
during the evening. In addition, Forest Creek residents enjoy miles of
scenic trails on which they can jog, ride bikes, or walk their dogs.

abundant foliage, landscaped streets, and gentle hills, making all of
the streets here desirable and beautiful.
Where do people shop for groceries in Forest Creek?
Residents of Forest Creek have the choice of 2 new supermarkets that
offer an abundance of gourmet foods, including sushi, cheeses, and
wines. Each store is within a 10-minute drive.
What is the traffic like when commuting to downtown?
Forest Creek is located east of IH-35 in Round Rock, just 30 minutes
from Downtown Austin. Because Round Rock is home to such major
employers as Dell and the Seton Medical Centers, Forest Creek residents
don’t necessarily commute into downtown Austin. Round Rock is a
destination of its own, where people work, live, play, and shop -- all
within reasonable distances.
How long does it take to drive to the airport from Forest Creek? Thanks to the new 130 tollway, Forest Creek residents can be at the airport in as little as 25 minutes of traffic-free driving.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Boatwright
