Austin's Technology Job Market Still Strong

Even though tech-related jobs in Austin took a sharp turn for the
worst this past year, Austin is still one of the best job markets in
the U.S. to find employment opportunities in the technology industry.
According to the Texas Workforce Commission,
Central Texas lost 12% of employed technology workers to layoffs in
2009 as compared to 2008. While Central Texas lost 1/8 of its employed
tech workers, Indiana-based Dice, Inc.
reports that Austin has the second highest percentage of tech-related
job postings in the country, trailing right behind Charolette, North
Carolina.
