Austin Adds More Jobs to Workforce - Now 3rd Lowest Unemployment Rate
Posted by Realty Austin on Friday, April 1st, 2011 at 4:21pm.Today the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics released a statement on the employment situation of the nation. 216,000 jobs were added to the U.S. workforce in March, indicating an economy on its way out of recovery.
Austin also saw a steady growth rate in the job market adding 11,400 jobs over the last year, reported by the Texas Workforce Commission. Austin now holds one of the lowest unemployment rates in the U.S. ranking 3rd right behind Washington D.C. and Minneapolis.
