Update: Our 2014 Supply Drive has ended and we are pleased to announce that our staff and agents donated a total of 58 backpacks and hundreds of dollars worth of school supplies! Thank you to all who participated and helped children get a jump start on the 2014-2015 school year. We are so grateful for your support!
Each year Realty Austin, in partnership with Foundation Communities, joins forces to host one of the biggest Back to School Drives for classroom supplies and donations. In 2013, this drive provided 43 backpacks and boxes filled with school supplies to students and classrooms in need.

Travis Heights is a historic Austin neighborhood located in South Austin. Originally founded in 1912 by Newning, Swisher, and General Stacy, large development of the neighborhood did not begin to expand until the late 1920s. Stacy Park, located along Blunn Creek, was donated by Stacy. The "Big Stacy" spring-fed pool also bears his name, which was built as a WPA project during the Great Depression. The X Games is coming to Austin and they're going to be huge! X Games Austin happens June 5-8, 2014 at the Circuit of the Americas. Austin Market Stats -April 2014

Austin Board of REALTORS® reported that 2,479 single-family homes were sold in the Austin area in April 2014– 1% more than April 2013. The median price for Austin-area homes was also up 6% at $239,900.

Austin's population and job growth is rapidly exanding and so are the number of homes sold. Get ready for a busy summer buying season, Austin!

In April, homes sold 5 days faster and spent an average of 45 days on the market.

Market activity is on the rise, with a 1% increase in year over year sales, totaling $765,396,208.  There are 3,481 new homes on the market and going under contract with 6% fewer pending sales in April 2014 compared to last year.

Things to do in Austin in June 2014

June in Austin means outdoor concerts, funky 5Ks and family-friendly festivals. Now that the kids are out of school, check out all of the events Austin has to offer this summer.  Annual events such as ROT Biker Rally and the Keep Austin Weird Fest and 5K are some of the local favorites.
