Whether you are a native Austinite or a newcomer to this great city, it's no secret that Austin is having a tough time keeping traffic under control. To remedy the surge in traffic congestion, the City of Austin is overhauling projects to be ready for voters in 2014, including Urban Rail and Metro Rail, that will dramatically change the direction of public transit in Austin.
This summer, Mayor Leffingwell confirmed to the members of the Transit Working Group (TWG) the city's plan to expand the urban and commuter rails in time for 2014 elections. Over the last two years, the TWG has been working on the plans, also known as the Project Connect regional transportation plan, which is currently

Plenty of us were more than upset about the East Austin food trailer lot on South Congress shutting down in order for new construction to begin in its place. For years we had a single place in Central Austin to go to where you could enjoy any type of cuisine, beverage, or tasty snack while being immersed in the Downtown hustle and bustle. It was like the end of an era. We had our favorites, we had places yet to discover and we had Austin culture.
Now, we are to search for those all over Austin and hope they are open at that time or even in the correct location. However, for those too busy to look around for different places or can't afford to show up to a non-existent location during a lunch break, there are usually a few events year round that…

Factors of an aspirational city according to The Daily Beast: 50% Economy, 25% Quality of Life, 25% Demographic Features… You could say Austin's got all of that covered, and that's why it was named The Most Aspirational City in America. First Home Build with the Rodriguez Family:
A True Success Story
One year ago, the Realty Austin team had the distinct pleasure of meeting Rolando and Teresa Rodriguez and their daughters, Cinthya and Melany. In a partnership with Austin Habitat for Humanity, our team of bighearted agents and staff donated $65,000 to sponsor the 1st Annual Realty Austin Home Build at 2508 Devonshire in Austin, Texas.
After many months of hard work, the Rodriguez family moved into their new home in November 2012. The blood, sweat, and happy tears shared by our team and the family during the experience were unforgettable. Realty Austin was inspired by the hard work and determination of the Rodriguez family.

Summer X Games 2014-2017
After much anticipation, rallying, riding and voting, the Summer X Games are coming to Austin for the next four years!
Austin was in the running for a bid to host the events against a great list of competitors, including Chicago, Detroit, and Charlotte, N.C. The winner was to replace L.A. who has been hosting for the past 11 years. Sources say that Austin's unique and vibrant spirit and its "festival feel" was a major factor in picking Austin as the winner, as could be seen at the rally in June that thousands of residents attended.
Starting May 15-18, 2014, most of the Summer X Games events will be held at the Circuit of the Americas, a 1,600 acre venue that has hosted almost 260,000 people for the
