There really are none if a buyer can afford it. Whether you are a member of the golf club or not, the community is designed to offer amenities and services for everyone. The HOA is very active for all residents of Spanish Oaks.What are the public schools like?
The schools are in the award-winning Lake Travis school system, and Lake Point Elementary is rated exemplary (the highest rating given) by the Texas Education Agency. Lake Travis Middle School is also exemplary, and Lake Travis High School is recognized. There are many first-rate private schools nearby as well.How close are the schools?

Residents here enjoy 50 acres of hilltop parks, pools, golf, hike and bike trails, lake access via an Outdoor Pursuits program, sidewalks, sports fields, and 24/7, gated, manned security gates. There is a brand new Residents' Lodge and resort-style pool with grotto spas, tremendous food service, a bath house, locker rooms, el fresco showers, and a grill for food and drinks. Golf is number one at Spanish Oaks, with some of the finest teaching pros in the country. There is also a private catch-and-release Fish Camp, fully loaded with bass, catfish, and bluegills. A 10-pound catfish was caught there recently!Are there any organized community groups or community activities?
There are many organized activities, golf outings, and social events for both adults & children.What are the most sought after streets?
One of my favorites is Musket Rim, which is at one of the highest points in the community and offers some amazing views.What are the most popular neighborhoods?
The whole neighborhood is very popular and is not really divided. It is a seamless community.Where do people go out to eat?
There are many popular spots that have been in the area for years, although with the addition to the Galleria mall, less than a minute away this has become an dining Mecca. The Galleria has many first timers to the Austin area, although is giving you some of Austin’s long time favorites, such as Zoot, Waterloo Ice House, Mandola’s Italian Eatery, Little Woodrows, Maudies, and many more that are on there way. At the private club, Discovery Land Company has one of the finest 5-star chefs in the country preparing amazing dishes for club members. Of course, Downtown Austin is only 20 minutes away and fully loaded with all types of American and international cuisine.Where do people shop for groceries?
There is a newly renovated HEB Plus grocery store within minutes, that offers Central Market on the run, eating stations, wine tasting, and much more. There is also a Randalls just 4 miles north, on RR620.Where do people workout?
The best facility is Gold's Gym, about a half-mile away. The Austin Tennis Academy, which is on the grounds of the community, has a fine workout facility as well. World-class tennis is also available to the public at reasonable rates.What kind of organized sports are offered?
Now that the pool is finished, there will be organized swimming. Residents can also enjoy golf, soccer, baseball, water skiing, wake boarding, paddle boarding, fishing, running, or nature walks. The list is endless. If this wasn’t enough inside of the community, the LTYA has all your organized sports in the area from 3-6 yr. olds all the way through young adults.What is the traffic like when commuting to downtown?
The drive downtown is quick. You can take either Highway 71 or 2244 (Bee Caves Road), depending on where you are going. Southwest Parkway provides the best alternative, in that development along this arterial is sparse.How long does it take to commute downtown?
It usually takes about 20 to 25 minutes to get downtown, depending on the time of day.How long does it take to drive to the airport?
The drive to the airport takes about 30 minutes. For a nominal fee, club members can take advantage of transportation provided by the club.What makes you an expert in Spanish Oaks?
What makes me the expert on Spanish Oaks and the surrounding area is that I live, work, and play here. I'm raising my family in the area, and my children attend the same schools.
