Where exactly is Bee Cave?
The City of Bee Cave is located on Hwy 71 roughly bounded by Bee Caves
Road to the east, Hamilton Pool Road to the west and Spillman Ranch
Road to the north.
What is the average price of the homes? The average price of a home in Bee Cave is $695,000 with prices ranging from $350,000 to $3,500,000.
What is the average age of the homes? Most of the construction in Bee Cave began in 1996 and continues today The bulk of the homes are 2000 and newer.
What is the average size of the homes? The
average size of a home in Bee Cave is 3800 square feet with homes
ranging from 2400 square feet to just over 5000 square feet.
How long do homes stay on the market? Homes in Bee Cave typically have a little more land and/or a view than other areas and average 122 days on the market.
Why do residents choose to live in Bee Cave?
I think most residents choose to live in Bee Cave because of the easy
access in all directions; Hwy 71 leads east to the airport and west to
Lake Travis, Hwy 620 leads north to Lakeway and Bee Caves Road leads to
downtown.
What are some the negatives of living in Bee Cave? With the construction of The Hill Country Galleria now complete the traffic through Bee Cave is no longer a negative.
What are the public schools like? Bee
Cave residents attend Lake Travis Public Schools. Lake Pointe and Bee
Cave Elementary are exemplary schools, Lake Travis Middle school is an
exemplary school and Lake Travis High School is an Academically
Acceptable school. These outstanding schools have helped maintain the
high resale values in Bee Cave.
How close are the schools? Lake
Pointe Elementary School is on Bee Caves Road on the eastern side of
Bee Cave and Bee Cave Elementary School is on Hamilton Pool Road on the
western side of Bee Cave, Lake Travis Middle School and Lake Travis
High School are on Hwy 620 in the center of Bee Cave
Are there any private schools nearby?
Nearby private schools are St. Gabriel’s (K-8th), St. Michael’s
(9th-12th),St. Andrew’s (9th-12th), Regents (K-12th) and St. Stepen’s
(6th-12th).
Are there any pre-schools nearby?
There is a Primrose Pre-school in the center of Bee Cave, The Lakeway
Church Pre-school in Lakeway and The Sonshine Pre-school on Bee Caves
Road and several others in the surrounding area.
What kind of amenities does Bee Cave offer?
(parks, pools, golf, trails, lake access, sidewalks, sports fields,
security gates, etc) Bee Cave has many amenities such as The Field of
Dreams for youth athletics, the Town Center at the Hill Country
Galleria with an amphitheatre and a splash fountain, a public library
and a 50 acre city park to be completed soon. There is a public golf
course at Falconhead and a private golf course at Spanish Oaks. The
Backyard music venue has a long history and is located in Bee Cave.
Are there any organized community groups or community activities?
There are book clubs at the Bee Cave Library, there is live music at
the Bee Cave Amphitheater in the evening and there are parades and car
shows along the Hill Country Galleria Parkway.
What are the most sought after streets? Some big view streets are along Spanish Oaks Blvd, Great Divide Drive in the Homestead and Sugar Loaf in Falconhead.
What are the most popular neighborhoods?
The Uplands, Spanish Oaks, and Lake Pointe are near the intersection of
Bee Caves Road and Hwy 71 , The Homestead and the second entrance to
Spanish Oaks are near the intersection of Hwy 620 and Hwy 71,
Falconhead is along Hwy 620 near the middle school and high school and
Bee Cave West is along Hamilton Pool Road.
Where do people go out to eat?
People can eat at Panera Bread, Zinger’s Bar & Grill, Which Wich,
Tony C’s Pizza, Fish City Grill, Iron Cactus, Chile’s, Spring Hill
Catfish Parlour, Rosie’s, Verde’s and Blue Bamboo Viet-Thai to name a
few area eateries.
Where do people shop for groceries?
There is an newly remodeled HEB grocery store in Bee Cave that carries
many selections from Central Market and has cooking demonstrations, a
sushi bar in the store.
Where do people workout? There
is a Gold’s Gym in Bee Cave for those who like indoor excercise and
hiking trails in many of the neighborhoods for those who enjoy outdoor
excercise.
What kind of organized sports are offered? The
Lake Travis Youth Association (www.LTYA.org) offers soccer, volleyball,
basketball, baseball, softball, tennis and cheer for students and there
are groups that meet at the Hill Country Galleria for outdoor fitness
classes each day of the week.
What is the traffic like when commuting to downtown?
The commute to downtown is straight down Bee Caves Road at 60mph with a
few stop lights until you cross Hwy 360 where the speed limit slows to
40mph and you encounter more stoplights.
How long does it take to commute downtown? 25-30 minutes.
How long does it take to drive to the airport? 45 minutes.
What makes you an expert in Bee Cave?
I have worked with people to purchase or list homes in Bee Cave, my
children have grown up here and I am involved in the community, the
schools and my neighborhood.
